    💫On occasion of Pollution Day on 16th February, 2022, Water Filtering Competition is organized by Student Council.💫

    Open for all MES
    In this event,

    1. We will give you a polluted/dirty water.
    2. By using any Filteretion method participants have to clean the water.
    3. The PH values and other Parameters of filtered water will be tested in our chemistry lab.

    ✨🟠 The winners will get an opportunity to present their model in the exhibition on Science day & All the Participants will get the certificates.🟠✨

  • Logo Design Competition

    Logo Design Competition

    The right logo says everything without saying a word. It connotes feelings of honor, trust, pride, excellence and integrity. It conveys a series of virtues and a set of values without pages of copy and a team of copywriters. It evokes a sense of connection between associations at Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology, Department of Computer Engineering’s AIDA team organized the Logo design Competition for all years of Computer Engineering Department on 12th & 13th February, 2022. Registration was free and upon successful completion of the assessment, participants received a certificate. The participants were asked to design a logo and submit it online. Winning logo meant to be selected as AIDA’s official Logo.

    Event Outcome:
    The overall goal of this competition was to create awareness about Logo of an organization and its importance to participants. Additionally, the competition gave insight to how to use the different design tools. Registration for the competition was 70 no of students and 26 students submitted their logo designs, out of 26 Logos final 5 logos selected and out of 5 final logo selected which was designed by first year student Ms. Shreyanshi Suryawanshi.

    About the Session:
    User Experience Design is everything that we interact with during the journey of using a product. A clearly designed product helps in saving time and increases efficiency, whereas a badly designed product not only makes us lose time but also hampers efficiency and causes unnecessary mental strain. We all remember struggling to text on our old mobile phones, with repetition of pressing keys in order to get the character we wanted. This evolved with Blackberry bringing in the QWERTY keyboard to using touch keypads now. The above example clearly explains how a good design makes life simpler and easy for us.

    This makes it a highly important supporting discipline for the process of product development. “UX encompasses all aspects of the end user interaction with the company, its services and its products.” It highlights the experiential, effective, meaningful and valuable aspects of human computer interaction (HCI) and product ownership, and it also captures a person’s perceptions and mental model of the practical aspects such as utility, ease of use and efficiency of the system. UX is a conceptual design discipline, which means apart from being aesthetically pleasing it also has certain responsibilities towards its users. It has the primary responsibility of fulfilling the user’s needs in the easiest way possible. Secondly, the design should be clear and tasteful which creates an appealing product. An effective UX is designed by the perfect blend of multiple disciplines like engineering, marketing, graphics and industrial design, interface design, information architecture and psychology. Modern UX is built on Human Factors and Ergonomics. UX aims to provide a clear design and structure to the product, which guides the user throughout the journey of using the product and creates a sense of satisfaction on having completed a task at ease. UX is highly dynamic as it changes with every product. Each product has its own unique set of requirements.

    In this workshop 70+ students attended the session.At the end of workshop feedback is collected from the participants.

    The Seminar Speaker, Dr. Mansi Subhedar explained to students the importance of keeping online information safe from various attacks. Also, topics such as cyber security, using the Internet on Smartphones, etc in safer ways, prevention of various online attacks, Dos and Don’ts while surfing, Security tips for laptops, Mobile Phones, etc. have been covered.

    Students and Faculty members of the Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering Department attended the seminar. Seminar participation was made free of cost.

    Mr. Pratik Hendre, Group A Gazzeted, Class-1 Officer under Ministry of Commerce and industry, at Indian Patent Office.

    Mr. Anshul Verma has given a brief Overview of all forms of Intellectual Property Rights & its importance like Patents, Copyrights, Trademarks & Service marks, Geographical Indicators, Industrial Designs etc.

    Mr. Pratik Hendre has explained about the statutory procedure and requirements for filling IP applications.

    The session concluded with an interactive session between the resource persons and the participants in which the queries of the participants were addressed satisfactorily.

    A Seminar on ‘How to prepare for GATE Examination’ was conducted on the 8th February, 2022. The purpose of the webinar was to give an idea about the information and preparation for GATE examination and to know the way to crack the GATE exam. Sir explained about GATE preparation, Management of Time, Exam pattern, opportunities after GATE exam. He also talked about the other competitive opportunities like UPSC, MES etc. and the various carrier options after GATE. 53 students attended the session.

    Solution Challenge is a global hackathon competition that invites university students to develop solutions for real world problems using one or more Google products or platforms like Android, Firebase, TensorFlow, Google Cloud, Flutter, or any other Google technologies by building a solution for any of the UN Sustainable Development Goals related to economic growth and climate change.

    During the Information Session, Students received additional details about the solution Challenge 2022. The speakers familiarize them with all the rules and regulations, Topics, and Prizes and other benefits of taking part in the competition and encouraged them to utilize this opportunity.

    There were 94 students attended and seemed very excited to participate and build their projects. At the end of the session, a feedback form was shared to get a better idea of what kind of event the students would like to attend in future.

    This site had an efficient and versatile attributes, due to which it was an enormously fruitful experience to visit the ‘Vrindavan floora’, Chambharli Site. This site visit was very helpful to understand detail design of staircase, slab, beam and columns through interaction, working methods and employment practices.

    From this workshop students were able to understand JavaScript’s fundamental programming concepts; the speaker also introduced key tools, libraries and frameworks that programmers use in everyday development. He also showed them how to handle data, control the flow of information in an application, and create custom events. Students also learned the differences between client-side and server-side JavaScript, and expanded their knowledge further by studying the different JavaScript development paradigms.

    Certificates were given to all the participants after successful completion of the event.
