    The Seminar on Higher Education Opportunities Abroad was successfully organized with the objective of creating awareness among students about pursuing higher education in foreign universities and providing comprehensive guidance on the admission process. The session aimed to familiarize students with the various opportunities available overseas, including eligibility criteria, entrance examinations, application procedures, scholarship opportunities, visa requirements, and career prospects.

    The event was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Jagdish W. Bakal, who appreciated the initiative and encouraged students to actively participate in academic and career-oriented activities that broaden their perspectives and enhance their professional growth. The participants were further motivated by Dr. Rajashree Gadhave, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering, who highlighted the importance of exploring global educational opportunities while maintaining academic excellence. She encouraged students to develop confidence, communication skills, leadership qualities, and a global outlook by actively participating in such informative sessions. The seminar was coordinated by Faculty Coordinator Ms.Pradnya Patil and Mr. Rutvij Mane, who motivated the participants throughout the session and encouraged them to take advantage of international education opportunities to achieve their academic and professional aspirations.

    The seminar was delivered by Prof. Nitin Lathe, who addressed 120 students and 12 faculty members. During the interactive session, he shared valuable insights into studying abroad, covering university selection, eligibility criteria, entrance examinations, application procedures, financial planning, scholarship opportunities, visa processes, and career prospects after higher education. The participants actively engaged in the discussion, clarified their queries, and gained a comprehensive understanding of the admission process and opportunities available for international education. The seminar proved to be highly informative and beneficial, inspiring students to explore global academic opportunities and prepare themselves for successful careers in an increasingly interconnected world.

    Event OutcomeStudents enhanced their coordination, decision-making, and gaming strategies while experiencing organized esports competition.

    The Krafton Gaming Event was successfully organized as an exciting two-day competitive gaming event aimed at providing students with a platform to showcase their gaming skills while promoting teamwork, strategic thinking, and healthy competition. The event was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Jagdish W. Bakal, who appreciated the initiative and encouraged students to actively participate in extracurricular activities that foster leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. He emphasized that such events play a significant role in the holistic development of engineering students. The participants were further motivated by Dr. Rajashree Gadhave, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering, who highlighted the importance of maintaining a balance between academics and co-curricular activities. She encouraged students to develop confidence, communication, leadership, and collaboration skills through active participation in both technical and non-technical events. The event was coordinated by Faculty Coordinator Ms.Pradnya Patil and Mr. Rutvij Mane, who inspired the participants throughout the competition and encouraged them to embrace the true spirit of healthy competition and teamwork.

    The event featured multiple popular games in which participants enthusiastically competed across well-organized rounds, demonstrating coordination, quick decision-making, and sportsmanship. The vibrant and energetic atmosphere encouraged interaction, collaboration, and friendly competition among students, creating an enjoyable and engaging gaming experience. A total of 150 students, along with 4 faculty members, actively participated in the event, making it a grand success.

    The event served as an excellent opportunity for students to enhance their teamwork, coordination, leadership, strategic thinking, and stress management skills while enjoying their passion for competitive gaming. Participants displayed remarkable enthusiasm and determination throughout the competition, contributing to a lively and memorable atmosphere. The event concluded with the recognition and appreciation of the winners for their outstanding performance, making the Krafton Gaming Event a successful initiative that strengthened student engagement, fostered campus camaraderie, and provided a memorable learning and recreational experience beyond the classroom.

    Event ObjectiveThe objective of this workshop was to introduce a new software of 3D modelling and animation to students and teach basic of 3D.
    Event OutcomeStudents should understand the basic principals of 3D modelling, texturing and animation. They should able to use the basic features of blender software

    The workshop was inaugurated by the Principal, Dr. Jagdish W. Bakal, who appreciated the initiative and emphasized the importance of acquiring industry-relevant technical skills alongside academic learning. He encouraged students to actively participate in such hands-on workshops to enhance their creativity, practical knowledge, and career readiness.
    The participants were further motivated by Dr. Rajashree Gadhave, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering, who inspired students to continuously upgrade their technical competencies by exploring emerging technologies and learning advanced software tools. She highlighted the significance of practical learning and innovation in shaping successful engineering careers and encouraged students to make the most of such opportunities.

    The workshop was conducted by Mr. Advait Patil, a BE Computer Engineering student with four years of experience in using Blender, a leading open-source 3D creation software.

    This workshop on 3D Modelling, Texturing, and Animation using Blender, aimed at introducing students to the fundamentals of 3D content creation and digital design. The workshop was designed for beginners while also providing valuable insights for participants interested in animation, game development, visual effects, and creative design. A total of 80 students actively participated in the session.

    Event ObjectiveTo familiarize Third Year (TE) students with the curriculum structure, Program Elective (PE) and Multidisciplinary Minor (MDM) options, examination scheme, and academic processes under the Autonomous System, while creating awareness about placement preparation and opportunities such as Smart India Hackathon (SIH), Avishkar, and other technical initiatives.

    The Department of Electronics and Computer Science organized an Orientation Programme for Third Year (TE) students on 1 July 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in Classroom A-104. The programme aimed to familiarize students with the curriculum and examination scheme under the Autonomous System.

    Dr. Mansi Subhedar, Head of the Department, provided an overview of the Semester V and VI curriculum, highlighting the Program Elective Courses (PEC) , Multidisciplinary Minor (MDM) buckets, and the significance of various Program Core Courses (PCC). She explained the flexibility offered through elective choices and guided students in selecting courses aligned with their career aspirations, higher studies, and industry requirements.

    The session also covered the examination scheme, Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE), End-Semester Examination (ESE), credit requirements, attendance regulations, and the academic calendar. Students were encouraged to actively participate in Smart India Hackathon (SIH), Avishkar Research Convention, technical competitions, internships, and activities conducted through professional bodies to strengthen their technical and research skills. Guidance was also provided on placement preparation, emphasizing aptitude development, programming skills, project work, certifications, communication skills, and continuous technical learning to enhance employability.

    Students were also informed about the Honours Programme, which offers an opportunity to earn 18 additional credits by completing advanced courses in a chosen specialization, thereby enhancing their domain expertise and improving prospects for higher studies and career advancement.

    The programme concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where students’ queries regarding elective selection, curriculum structure, academic regulations, placement preparation, and examination processes were addressed.

    The Department of Electronics and Computer Science organized an orientation program for Second Year B.Tech. students on 1 July 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the department. A total of 41 students attended the session.

    The orientation was conducted to familiarize students with the academic structure, curriculum, and various opportunities available during the second year of the B.Tech. programme. Dr. Mansi Subhedar, Head of the Department, welcomed the students and emphasized the importance of academic discipline, regular attendance, continuous learning, and active participation in departmental activities. She provided a detailed overview of the Semester III and Semester IV curriculum designed as per the National Education Policy (NEP) and explained the teaching-learning methodology, academic regulations, and examination pattern. The continuous evaluation process, including internal assessments, assignments, practical examinations, project work, attendance requirements, and end-semester examinations, was discussed in detail to ensure that students clearly understood the evaluation criteria.

    Dr. Subhedar also explained the significance of the different course categories included in the curriculum. The importance of Professional Core Courses (PCC) in building strong domain knowledge, Program Elective Courses (PEC) in enabling specialization in emerging technologies, Open Electives (OE) in promoting multidisciplinary learning, Vocational and Skill Enhancement Courses (VSEC) in developing industry-relevant competencies, and Skill Laboratories in strengthening practical and hands-on technical skills was elaborated. Students were guided on how these courses contribute to their overall academic development, employability, higher education opportunities, and career progression.

    The activities and benefits of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) Students’ Forum (ISF) functioning in the department were also discussed. Students were encouraged to become active members and participate in IETE-organized technical talks, workshops, competitions, paper presentations, certification programmes, industrial interactions, and professional networking activities to enhance their technical knowledge and professional competencies.

    The faculty members of the department subsequently introduced themselves and briefed the students about their respective subject areas, mentoring process, laboratory facilities, academic responsibilities, code of conduct, and departmental expectations. Students were encouraged to maintain regular interaction with faculty members, actively participate in curricular and co-curricular activities, and make optimum use of the learning resources available in the department.

    The orientation concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, during which students clarified their queries regarding the curriculum, elective selection, evaluation process, laboratory courses, technical activities, internships, and career opportunities. The session successfully provided the students with a comprehensive understanding of the academic framework and motivated them to actively engage in their academic and professional development throughout the programme.

    The event was successfully conducted and achieved its intended objectives. Participants actively engaged in the sessions, which helped enhance their knowledge, skills, and overall understanding of the topic. The event provided a platform for interaction, learning, and sharing of ideas, leading to improved communication and teamwork among attendees. It also contributed to the development of confidence and practical insights that can be applied in real-life situations. Overall, the event had a positive impact on the participants and proved to be informative, enriching, and beneficial for their personal and professional growth.

    Prof Suma Lalit highlighted that In a rapidly changing educational environment, adaptability and continuous learning are crucial. Faculty members with well-developed soft skills are better equipped to handle diverse classrooms, integrate new teaching methods, and foster holistic student development. Overall, soft skill development strengthens professional competence and enhances the quality of education. The session was informative and interactive with series of example.

    Prof Poonam also emphasis that for faculty members, strong communication and interpersonal skills help in delivering concepts clearly, engaging students, and creating a positive classroom environment. Skills such as empathy, active listening, and conflict management enable teachers to understand student needs and respond effectively to challenges. Participant feedback was gathered at the end of the session to evaluate its effectiveness.
