Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology held inaugural ceremony of Association for Computing Machinery, India Student Professional Chapter on 15th March 2018 with 120 of Student Volunteers. As the world’s largest computing society, ACM strengthens the profession’s collective voice through strong leadership, promotion of the highest standards and recognition of technical excellence. ACM supports the professional growth of its members by providing opportunities for life-long learning, career development and professional networking. Founded at the dawn of the computer age, ACM’s reach extends to every part of the globe, with more than half of its 100,000 members residing outside the U.S. Its growing membership has led to Councils in Europe, India, and China, fostering networking opportunities that strengthen ties within and across countries and technical communities. Being closely associated with students, the Society has developed a well-established network of “Student Branches” all across the country.
Under the Banner of ACM Student Chapter, An activity was held named “Hacker’s Palace” by Security council on 15th March, 2018. The Annual Alumni Meet 2018 was inaugurated under ACM student chapter, the occasion was graced by Alumni from recently passed out batches. The Tech-Quiz has been conducted with an intention to judge and enhance the technical understanding level of students on 10th August, 2018. Along with this, tech-elocution competition also conducted successfully.
