    PCB Designing is one of the most emerging fields in Electronics in today’s era. For the students of Electrical this is a good field to start their career. PCB designers are key persons in research and development (R&D), electronics production units as well as in the PCB industry. The workshop was aimed to provide knowledge about simulation tools to test electronics & electrical circuits in software environments, PCB design software named DIPTRACE & to make physical PCB at home so that any student can make a project on his own.

    PCB Lab Visit

    Total 68 students and 7 faculties have participated in the workshop. All the students responded that they have learned and had hands-on experience in designing a PCB. They were very excited about participating in this workshop and requested for more workshops in a similar way so that they can simultaneously gain practical knowledge.

    Hands on Workshop on “Assemble your First PC”

    Department of Information Technology under ACE club successfully organized a Hands on workshop on “Assemble your First PC” on 28th March, 2022 at architecture lab. This workshop was specially organized for SEIT students. In this hand on workshop many questions of curious minds such as how computers are actually build? How they work? Which components are used and what are their uses? This and many more questions like these are solved.

    Speakers of this event were Mr. Rakesh Murali and Mr. Ganesh Sasane who explained all the key features of pc to all students. Event started with giving brief introduction about motherboard, chips, processor and RAM at 10:15 a.m. Then interested participants were divided into two batches so that all can work effectively. A batch of 3 students were formed to work on given system.

    Each group has given with all the components required to assemble PC. Each group was personally guided and solved their queries as well

    The event was led and executed successfully under the guidance of Ms. Kajal Patel. About 60 students willingly participated in this event to make this event successful. 3 hours of workshop was mind blowing and once in life time experience for all the participants.

    The fourth event of Flutter Festival 2022 was conducted in collaboration with GDSC AISSMS IOIT. In this session an “Online-Workshop” on Firebase, Integration with Flutter was covered. Firebase is a Backend-as-a-Service (Baas). It provides developers with a variety of tools and services to help them develop quality apps, grow their user base, and earn profit.

    Webinar on “Destructive and Non Destructive Methods for Geotechnical Investigation”

    The Webinar on Destructive and Non Destructive Methods for Geotechnical Investigation was held on 26th March, 2022 at 11.30 a.m. under ASTR Student Chapter. The webinar started with introduction of the speaker Mr. Sunit Kumar Banerjee (Former head, Business line management Organization, Former general manager, Geology and mining, Cement Corp. of India and Business Line Manager of FUGRO Geotech India Pvt. Ltd). The Head of Civil Department, Mr. Raju Narwade gave speech on the background of PHCET. The president of ASTR Mr. Vedant sawant introduced all the members of ASTR students’ chapter to the speaker and participants and explained the events conducted by ASTR students’ chapter till then. Mr. Sunit Kumar Banerjee explained about different Destructive and Non Destructive Methods for Geotechnical Investigation. It was a very informative session and many positive feedbacks were received. About 110 participants attended the Webinar.

  • Industrial Visit to KPSSM Cashew Factory, Dapoli

    Industrial Visit to KPSSM Cashew Factory, Dapoli

    As part of Curriculum Subject Power Engineering, students of BE were taken for an industrial visit at KPSSM, Dapoli MIDC. KPSSM is an agricultural based plant which uses mechanical components like boilers, blowers, seperators etc for good quality cashew manufacturing. Students were able to differentiate boilers, boiler mountings and accessories used for the purpose of steam generation. The boiler type used is a low pressure steam generator. Students were given a tour of working of all the machinery used and were also able to interact with the Managing Director of the plant.

    Shiv Jayanti 2021-22

    Shiv Jayanti is celebrated as the birth anniversary of great Maratha ruler Shivaji Bhosale. Shivaji Jayanti is celebrated every year on 19th March .

    The NSS unit of PHCET has organized Shivjayanti utsav on 21st March, 2022. The sole purpose of their program was to enlighten everyone about the great maratha ruler. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the first Chhatrapati and founder of the Maratha Empire. He established Hindavi Swarajya [Hindavī Svarājya; “Self-Rule of the hindavi people”]. That’s why we celebrate the Jayanti of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The program was graced with the presence of Hon. Principal, Dr. Jagdish W. Bakal HOD’s of Various departments:- Dr. Manvendra Vashistha (ASH), Dr. Mansi Subhedar (ECS), Dr. Divya Chirayil (IT), Ms. Rohini Bhosale (CS). We Also had NSS coordinators:- Ms. Rekha Dhawan, Dr. Avinash Gatade, Ms. Supriya Shigwan, Mr. Saurabh Shirsikar.

    Objective: The objectives of this program are

    • To make the students and teachers aware of the leadership qualities of the Great Leader Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
    • To make students understand the importance and sacrifices Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj did during his life being.
    • To potray the unity among the students keeping castes and races at aside

    The function began at 1:00 pm with the ShivPalkhi- The holy statue of Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in a type of wheelless vehicle transported with the help of shoulders! This was carried from the main gate of the college campus till the seminar hall followed with epic slogans and traditional songs played on a small speaker following the covid -19 norms along with social distancing. The further half of the function included a song sung in memory of the birth of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj by the enthusiastic girls of the various classes. The occasion was anchored by students of the college. The function was completely handled by enthusiastic students who actively participated and arranged for the complete event

    The whole Event was well planned and executed with Discipline. All were happy and experience proud after the Event. The NSS unit of Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology will Always strive for Welfare of Society.

    This workshop is a continuation of Flutter Festival session 03. In this session, Ms Prachi continued the dart concepts from where she left at the offline hands-on workshop.

    Dart is a language designed for client development, such as for the web and mobile apps. Dart is very scalable across projects. It is very similar to Javascript and easy to learn if you already know Javascript. And it is used extensively for the Flutter mobile UI framework. So in this workshop attendees not just learned about Dart programming language but also performed ‘live’ in the workshop.

    There were 90 students attended and seemed very excited to participate and build their projects.
