    The site for surveying project was selected considering the following criteria:

    • It should be a four way junction.
    • It should have sufficient traffic.
    • The traffic should consist of all types of vehicles including light motor vehicle and heavy motor vehicle.

    The students obtained necessary data by conducting traffic survey:

    • Found out the average speed of each vehicle passing through each lane
    • Found out the count of vehicles passing through each lane for a particular interval of time.

The celebration started by offering prayers to Goddess Navdurga and then by performing the traditional dance form Garba. All the female teaching and nonteaching faculty Members were invited to attend the event. The event was well attended by all faculty members in traditional attire. All of them celebrated the day with joy and cheer. Various fun activities were organised for all members. All the staff members enjoyed the event with a smile and great joy.

    Shirsuphal Solar PV Park is a 50MW solar PV power project. It is located in Maharashtra, India. According to Global Data, who tracks and profiles over 170,000 power plants worldwide, the project is currently active. It has been developed in multiple phases. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in 2014.

    The project supplies enough clean energy to power 240,000 households.

    The power generated from the project is sold to Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years.

    Tata Power Renewable Energy was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

    Tata Power Renewable Energy is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project for a period of 25 years.

    This visit was organized during the annual maintenance period of the sugar factory and thus the members participated got a great opportunity to get an exposure to the details of the sugar manufacturing technology and bagasse-based power generation technologies which are not usually visible, by witnessing the dismantled machineries and equipment. Students could also witnessed bagasse based power plant. In this visit students could understand entire process of making crystal sugar from sugarcane. Students could identify different conveyors, feeders, separates and other material handling machineries and mechanisms. Students could also understood different plant maintenance activities which were going on during the visit.

    Shri. Chhatrapati Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana, Ltd., Bhavaninagar (SCSSKL) has the premises admeasuring about 141 Acres. Our Cooperative concern is owned and managed by the cane producer members. Shri Chhatrapati S.S.K. Ltd. had started production from the 17th Jan 1957. It is co-operative organization engaged in producing white Crystal Sugar as per IS specification. Apart from producing Sugar We are offering Better Services to Local Farmers and Employees. The Organization is also extending educational and public health facilities to the common people in surrounding areas, different high schools and training institutes run by Chhatrapati Sanstha.

    The Electrical Engineering Department organized an industrial visit for the Third Year Electrical Engineering student on 17th October, 2023 to Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company 220/100/22 KV APTE Substation. Students are divided in two batches. Our main purpose for this visit is to be familiar with industrial environment and to get practical knowledge of electrical power transmission and distribution system. 30 third year students along with faculty coordinators, Prof. R. D. More , Prof. Supriya Shigwan, Prof. Ronita Pawn and Prof. Deepak Pemare attended the visit.

    From this visit, student got the detailed information and practical knowledge about single line diagram of substation and about different component of substation like feeder, circuit breaker, transformer, isolator, bus bar, Protective relays, Lightening arresters, Wave Trap, Load break switches and their construction, working principle.

    They got the idea how to read the single line diagram of power substation using different symbols used in diagram. Student cleared out practical knowledge of transformer as how it step down voltage 220 KV to 100 KV. They also got knowledge about new SCADA based system as you can operate substation by manually or by command from computer using SCADA system and PLC programming. They were successfully able to understand the working of all the mentioned equipment, everything from how they are installed, how they are monitored and maintained. About 30 students were benefited from this visit as they got chance to discussion with assistant engineers working at Substation.

    Day 1: Relaxation and Meditation

    Dr. G. V. Patil Certified heartfulness yoga trainer and Head of Mechanical Engineering Department guided students on meditation and yogic techniques, simple rejuvenating method to detox mind and heart. Students learned the role of various techniques and asana that predominately help our mind to be control of all the emotions. He further asked student to sit in meditative position with closed eyes and let go of stress and complex emotions and feeling light and refreshed.

    Day 2 started with relaxation and discussed doubts related with previous day meditation. The second part of mediation is introduced to students through animation video. After discussion actual practice guided session conducted for students.

    Dr. G. V. Patil commenced the day with an expect session on spiritual training. He strived to impart Rejuvenation and meditation training among students. He further explained how meditation is an excellent technique to strengthen core and improve concentration. He presented wonderful technique to practice meditation in day –to-day life. Students and faculty were made to practice few meditation techniques to improve their mental health and finding their inner selves.
