Department of Information Technology had organised Webinar on “Career and Development Opportunities” under the MOU of Event Beep Pvt. Ltd.
This webinar focused on placement and Internship opportunities for the students using EventBeep App. Beep app brings an exciting opportunity for students in the Information Technology Department. This innovative platform aims to connect students’ enthusiasts with their desired companies, fostering a seamless transition from academia to the professional realm.
Speaker Mr. Nimit Malhotra, HR of Event Beep Pvt. Ltd. demonstrated online to the students how to use the features of the app such as creating standout profiles, accessing strategies for identifying optimal job opportunities and engaging in networking for career development. The dedicated team at Beep is committed to providing unwavering support; ensuring students have the necessary resources to secure their dream positions and availing packages. With a user-friendly interface and a focus on empowering individuals in the IT field, the Beep app serves as a gateway to promising career paths. The outcome of webinar was to make the students aware of current Technologies in the IT industry. 60 students participated in the webinar and got benefitted for Internship opportunity and placement drives.

Students’ Council Interviews were conducted on 15th February, 2024 for the formation of Students’ Council for Academic Year 2023-24.

The session began with a presentation on introduction to 3d printers and laser cutting, history and different methods. Followed by hands on practical on Ultimaker 2+ Extended (3D Printer) and the Laser cutting machine. After a break, students were taught about Computer Aided Design software with hands on practical on Solidworks (CAD Software).

The event, organized in collaboration with Jamboree Education, aimed to provide valuable insights into study abroad test preparation and admission counseling. It was a collaborative effort between the Department of Computer Engineering and Jamboree Education.
The event witnessed active participation from students, and members of the organizing committee. The presence of esteemed guests including Head of Department Prof. Rohini Bhosale, Principal Dr. J.W Bakal, and Team Jamboree added significant value to the event.
Mr. Bhavesh Joshi, an expert in study abroad test preparation, served as the keynote speaker for the event. His insightful presentation shed light on the strategies and techniques to excel in GMAT and GRE examinations, offering valuable guidance to the attendees. Overall, the event proved to be highly informative and beneficial for all attendees.

Felicitation ceremony for class toppers in all the departments was organized by the PHCET on Saturday 3rd February, 2024. All class toppers and their parents were invited for this ceremony.
Principal Dr. J. W. Bakal addressed the gathering with warm welcome and appreciation of parents for attending the toppers felicitation ceremony. All department faculty and Head congratulated students and appreciated their effort. First 3 toppers from SE, TE and BE for the batch of 2023 were awarded with certificate and cash prize.

The TIME seminar at PHCET College provided valuable insights into TIME’s coaching programs, success stories, and expansion into the pre-school segment. Students were encouraged to take advantage of TIME’s expertise to excel in their academic and professional endeavors.
The seminar conducted by Triumphant Institute of Management Education ( TIME ) Panvel, commenced with an overview of TIME’s coaching programs, which cater to a wide range of exams. Additionally, TIME’s Campus Recruitment Training program, aimed at enhancing aptitude tests and communication skills for campus placements, was introduced.

Celebration of ‘Harit Prem Bharat Mahotsav (HPBM) 2024’ by Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) Student Chapter
Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) Student Chapter at Mahatma Education Society’s Pillai’s HOC College of Engineering & Technology, Rasayani, has attended the event ‘Prem Jain Memorial Trust (PJMT) – The Guru Talk’ as a part of celebration of Harit Prem Bharat Mahotsav (HPBM) 2024’ The theme for this year HPBM 2024, Decarbonising India. Total 14 students participated in this event.
Speakers concluded that decarbonizing India is not just a lofty goal; it is an imperative for our survival and the well-being of future generations. As individuals, we must adopt sustainable lifestyles, as communities, we must advocate for change, and as a nation, we must lead by example on the global stage. Together, let us embark on this journey towards a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable India.

CSI PHCET organised a highly informative and interactive event titled “ThinkAI: Exploring the depths of AI/ML“. The workshop was specifically designed for second and third-year students and it aimed to provide participants with practical knowledge and skills in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, two critical areas in today’s digital world. The workshop featured Mr. Hitesh Humane, who is currently acting as an AI developer at Xtreme online Solutions Pvt Ltd, as the keynote speaker. Mr. Humane is a renowned expert in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and holds a specialisation in Artificial Intelligence from CDAC, showcasing expertise in the field. He has pursued his MTech in AI/ML from IIT Jammu.
Mr. Hitesh Humane kicked off the workshop with a captivating introduction to the world of Artificial Intelligence. He illuminated the scope of AI and its subparts, setting the stage for a deep dive into the workshop’s main themes. The session proceeded to unravel the subparts of AI, exploring areas such as Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision, and Robotics. Participants gained insights into the diverse applications of AI, paving the way for more specialised discussions. Building on the AI foundation, Mr. Hitesh delved into the fundamental concepts of Machine Learning. The workshop covered essential ML principles, including supervised and unsupervised learning, providing a solid groundwork for the ensuing hands-on session. The workshop’s highlight featured a hands-on Jupyter Python session, where students actively engaged with powerful tools. Practical exercises allowed participants to apply theoretical knowledge, enhancing their comprehension of real-world AI/ML challenges. The workshop concluded with an interactive Q&A session, providing students with an opportunity to clarify doubts and gain further insights. Mr. Hitesh ensured that participants left with a solid understanding of AI/ML concepts. Students enthusiastically embraced the workshop, commending Mr. Hitesh Humane’s engaging teaching style and the immediate applicability of the content. They expressed appreciation for the balance between theoretical knowledge and practical skills, emphasising the workshop’s role in enhancing their understanding of AI/ML. This comprehensive approach not only equipped students with valuable skills but also prepared them to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of AI/ML with confidence.
