    Event Objective : To create awareness about cleanliness, hygiene, and proper waste management among students and the community. To encourage active participation in building a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment.

    The NSS Unit of PHCET organized a Swachh Bharat Mission awareness program on 29 January 2026 to promote cleanliness and hygiene among Peoples. Around 50 NSS volunteers actively participated in the activity under the guidance of the NSS Programme Officer.

    The program aimed to create awareness about cleanliness, proper waste disposal, and the importance of maintaining a healthy environment. It focused on encouraging students to adopt hygienic habits and actively contribute toward a clean surrounding.

    Volunteers assembled at the college premises and were briefed about the objectives of the program. Activities such as campus cleaning and awareness sessions were conducted. The volunteers actively participated in the cleanliness drive and motivated fellow students to maintain sanitation in their surroundings.

    The Swachh Bharat Mission program was a successful initiative that reflected the commitment of NSS volunteers toward environmental responsibility. Such activities help in building discipline and civic sense among students. The NSS Unit plans to organize similar cleanliness drives in the future.

    Event Objective : To create awareness about snakes, promote safe coexistence, and educate participants on snakebite prevention and emergency response.

    The NSS Unit of PHCET organized a Snake Awareness Program on 29 January 2026 during the NSS camp to educate students as well as villagers about snake safety and emergency response. Around 50 NSS volunteers actively participated in the session under the guidance of the NSS Programme Officer. The session was conducted by Mr. Tushar Kamble.

    The program aimed to create awareness about snakes, promote safe coexistence, and educate participants on snakebite prevention and first-aid measures. It focused on correcting common myths, understanding snake behavior, and learning the correct steps to take during snake encounters.

    Volunteers assembled at the NSS camp venue, where they were briefed about the objectives of the program. Mr. Tushar Kamble conducted an interactive session covering snake identification, do’s and don’ts during snakebite situations, and basic emergency procedures. Participants actively engaged in discussions and gained practical knowledge on handling real-life situations safely.

    The Snake Awareness Program was a successful initiative that reflected the commitment of NSS volunteers toward public safety and community awareness. Such programs play an important role in building responsible citizens. The NSS Unit plans to continue organizing similar awareness activities in the future.

    Event Objective : To enhance students’ knowledge and exposure through interaction with an expert in the field.

    The NSS Unit of Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology (PHCET), Rasayani organized a Guest Lecture as part of its ongoing social awareness and personality development initiatives. The event aimed to educate NSS volunteers on social responsibility, leadership qualities, and the importance of community service.

    The session was conducted on 25 sept 2025 and was graced by Ms. Tejal khedekar as the chief guest and resource person. The guest delivered an insightful talk on “SAY NO TO DRUGS” emphasizing the role of young volunteers in building a sustainable and inclusive society.

    Around 100 NSS volunteers and faculty members actively participated in the lecture. The interactive session provided valuable knowledge and motivation for the students to contribute meaningfully towards nation-building.

    The main objectives of organizing the Guest Lecture by the NSS Unit of PHCET were to create awareness among volunteers about their social responsibilities, enhance their leadership and communication skills, and motivate them to contribute actively toward community development. The session aimed to inspire students to develop empathy, discipline, and a spirit of service while providing valuable insights into current social issues and the role of youth in nation-building. Through this interaction, the lecture sought to empower NSS volunteers with knowledge and inspiration to make a positive impact on society.

    Event Objective : To enhance students’ knowledge and exposure through interaction with an expert in the field.

    The NSS Unit of Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology (PHCET) organized an educational and social awareness field visit to Raigad Fort on Sunday, 2nd November 2025. The visit aimed to enhance students’ understanding of India’s rich historical heritage and to promote the spirit of teamwork, discipline, and national pride among volunteers.

    NSS volunteers and faculty co-coordinators participated in the visit. The journey began early in the morning from the college campus, filled with enthusiasm and curiosity. Upon reaching Raigad, the volunteers explored the fort’s magnificent architecture, including the Maha Darwaza, Rani Mahal, Jagdishwar Temple, and the Samadhi of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Through this experience, students gained valuable insights into the Maratha Empire’s legacy and the visionary leadership of Chhtrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

    The visit also emphasized the importance of preserving historical monuments and maintaining cleanliness at tourist sites. Volunteers took part in a brief cleanliness drive around the fort premises, spreading awareness among visitors about environmental responsibility and civic sense.

    Overall, the field visit to Raigad Fort was a memorable and educational experience that fostered a deeper appreciation for India’s glorious past while reinforcing the values of service, discipline, and patriotism among NSS volunteers.

    The NSS Unit of PHCET organized a Personality Development Session on 29 January 2026 during the NSS camp to enhance students’ confidence and interpersonal skills. Around 50 NSS volunteers actively participated in the session under the guidance of the NSS Programme Officer. The session was conducted by Dr. Deepti Mandlik.

    The program aimed to develop self-confidence, effective communication, leadership qualities, and a positive attitude among students. It focused on helping volunteers understand the importance of personality development in both personal and professional life.

Dr. Deepti Mandlik conducted interactive discussions and practical activities covering topics such as body language, self-motivation, goal setting, and public speaking.     Event Objective : On the occasion of NSS day

    On the occasion of NSS Day, the NSS Unit of Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology ,Rasayani organized a Digital Poster Making Competition on 24 sept 2025 The event aimed to celebrate the spirit of the National Service Scheme by encouraging students to showcase their creativity and spread social awareness through digital art.

    The primary objective of the competition was to provide a platform for students to express their thoughts and ideas on social causes through digital creativity. It sought to enhance their understanding of contemporary social issues, digital transformation, and the role of youth in building a sustainable future. The event also emphasized how digital tools can be used to spread awareness and inspire positive societal change.

    The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various departments. Each participant designed a digital poster using creative ideas and visual elements that highlighted social values, digital empowerment, and environmental responsibility.

    The winners were awarded certificates of achievement, while all participants received e-certificates for their active involvement. The NSS Programme Officer extended appreciation to all the students and volunteers for making the event successful and meaningful.

    The NSS Programme Officer and faculty coordinators congratulated the winners and expressed heartfelt appreciation for all students who participated with great zeal and creativity.

    Event Objective : To commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur, revered as “Hind Di Chadar”, by instilling the values of courage, sacrifice, religious freedom, and unwavering faith among youth through group singing and oratory competitions.

    The NSS Unit of PHCET organized a program on 23 February 2026 to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur, revered as Hind Di Chadar, as part of its cultural and value-based activities. Students actively and enthusiastically participated in the event as dedicated NSS volunteers, contributing significantly to its successful execution.

    The program aimed to spread awareness about the life, sacrifice, and teachings of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, highlighting his supreme sacrifice for the protection of religious freedom and human rights. The event focused on instilling values such as courage, selflessness, faith, unity, and commitment to justice among students.

    The program was conducted at the college premises, where volunteers were briefed about the historical significance of the 350th Shaheedi Samagam. Activities included a group singing competition and an oratory competition based on his life and ideals, making the event meaningful and impactful.

Around 50 NSS volunteers actively participated in the session under the guidance of the NSS Programme Officer. The session was conducted by Dr. Karthik Nagarajan.

    The program aimed to create awareness about different types of disasters, promote preparedness, and educate participants on safety measures and basic emergency response to minimize loss of life and property. It focused on understanding disaster risks, evacuation procedures, and the importance of staying calm during emergencies.

    Volunteers assembled at the NSS camp venue, where they were briefed about the objectives of the program.     HackOverflow 4.0, a three-day national-level hackathon organized by the Department of Computer Engineering of Pillai HOC College of Engineering & Technology, Rasayani, was held from March 11th to March 13th, 2026. The event aimed to provide a platform for aspiring technologists to showcase their skills, collaborate with peers, and tackle real-world challenges in the field of technology.

    HackOverflow 4.0 saw enthusiastic participation from students representing various colleges and universities across the country from 12+ states. Over the course of three days, participants worked tirelessly in teams to ideate, innovate, and develop solutions aligned with the theme of “Urban to Global.” With access to state-of-the-art facilities and mentorship from industry experts, the event fostered an environment conducive to creativity and problem-solving.

    In the excellent success of HackOverflow 4.0, Pillai Institute’s Chairman Dr. Vasudevan Pillai, Dr. Daphne Pillai, Dr. Priyam Pillai, Prof. Munawira Pillai, Mr. Franav Pillai, the proficient guidance of Principal Dr. Jagdish W. Bakal and the excellent leadership of the Computer Department’s HOD, Dr. Rajashree Gadhave, Faculty Coordinators Prof. Pradnya Patil, Prof. Rutvij Mane and other teachers have contributed greatly. Final year students Mr. Darin Joy and Ms. Sampriti Dogra, a remarkable student, lead the event HackOverflow 4.0.

    The event featured a series of evaluation rounds, networking sessions and mentorship opportunities, providing participants with valuable insights and guidance from industry experts. Participants had access to cutting-edge technologies and resources to develop their projects, enhancing their learning experience and skill development. Collaboration and teamwork were emphasized, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing and fellowship among participants. The hackathon concluded with presentations and demonstrations of the projects developed by the participating teams, highlighting their innovative solutions and problem-solving abilities.

    Distinguished guests and judges from Google graced the event, providing invaluable insights and guidance to participants. Guest of Honour Mr. Abhijit More, honored the occasion with their presence. The judging panel, comprising Ms. Nikita Gandhi, Mr. Anand Mehta, Mr. Prasad Sawant brought extensive experience and expertise to evaluate the projects.

    The sponsors for HackOverflow 4.0 included AECC, IMFS, Sumago Infotech Pvt. Ltd., OSEN, Binghamton University, Besides, Upthrust, StudyIn, Imperial, languify, Golden Oriole Education, Reva Technologies, which doubled the program’s glory.

    HackOverflow 4.0 was not just a competition but a celebration of innovation, collaboration, and ingenuity. The event provided participants with a platform to push the boundaries of technology and create solutions that have the potential to shape the future. HackOverflow 4.0 was a resounding success, bringing together young technologists and innovators to explore, ideate, and create solutions for building smarter cities.

    Event Objectives:

    • To showcase students’ technical skills and innovative ideas developed during their final year projects

    • To enhance presentation and communication skills of students by explaining their projects to visitors and judges.
    • To inspire junior students by exposing them to practical applications of engineering concepts.
    • To encourage teamwork and project management skills through collaborative project development.

    The Department of Information Technology organized a project exhibition “IDEAFORGE” on 13th March 2026. The session began with a warm welcome address delivered by Ms. Poonam Lad, (Event Coordinator) of the IT Department, in the esteemed presence of Dr. Jagdish W.Bakal(Principal),Mr.Rahul Kapse (Head of the IT Department), and the faculty members.

    The BEIT Project Exhibition was evaluated by respected judges Pooja Shukre and Dr. Kiran Bhandari. Both judges carefully reviewed the projects presented by the students and provided valuable feedback based on innovation, technical implementation, presentation, and practical application of the projects.

    Their guidance and suggestions helped students understand the strengths of their work and the areas where further improvement is possible. The presence of the judges added great value to the exhibition and encouraged students to present their projects with confidence and professionalism.

    Event Outcomes:

    • Students successfully demonstrated their technical skills and innovative project ideas developed during their final year, showcasing practical applications of Information Technology concepts.
