To test the DBMS knowledge of the students this quiz competition was organized.The MCQ questions were specifically designed according to the competitive exams.   • AutoCAD Competition

    AutoCAD Competition

    AutoCAD Competition Under ASTR Student Chapter

    Department of civil engineering in association with Association of Structural Rehabilitation (ASTR) student chapter conducted a competition under the title “AutoCAD Competition” on 27th March, 2021 via online platform Google. The event bagged 225 registrations and had 55 eligible participants across the state with diverse background ranging from academics to industry. The event addressed the creativity of participants along with their drafting skill. The organizing committee floated well-drafted question to the participants via mail which they were required to complete and submit within the stipulated time period. After thorough scrutiny of the entries, two winners were declared. The winners were awarded with cash prize as publicized and the remaining participants were awarded with certificates. A few details on the event is as listed below:

    Cooking Competition

    Cooking with love takes time, but the result is delicious. Cooking is a great way to spend time with your family and friends. So we had organized a Cooking competition for students to provide a platform to showcase their talent with cooking. It also helped the students to get recognition in the department and spend time with the hobby of cooking.The aim of the competition is to discover new culinary talents from the participating students. A cooking contest featuring local food can have a number of benefits for everyone. Hosting a cooking competition is an innovative way to increase student participation in work-based learning. The number of students that participated in the competition was 6. They made various dishes like thalipeeth,chicken cutlet, etc.The judge for the competition was Ms.Archana Arudkar , a faculty from the Department of Computer Engineering.

This Quiz is designed to test the basic knowledge of Artificial intelligence and to rouse curiosity in participants for Artificial intelligence.as we know Artificial intelligence plays a vital role in our lives because nowadays everything is handled with the help of AI. So, it’s really important for students to gain interest in Artificial intelligence and that was the foremost purpose of the event.     Instrument Playing Competition

    The true mission of the violin is to imitate the accents of the human voice, a noble mission that has earned for the violin the glory of being called the king of instruments.This event was organized by the Student Council of Computer Engineering Department to provide a platform for students to showcase their talent with instruments. It also helped the students to get recognition in the department and spend time with the hobby of playing instruments. The event boosted their confidence to perform in front of an audience.The number of students that participated in the competition was 6. They played various instruments like guitar, piano, etc. The judge for the competition was Mrs. Shrutika Khobaragade, a faculty from the Department of Computer Engineering.

    Cyber security is the application of technologies, processes and controls to protect systems, networks, programs, devices and data from cyber attacks. It aims to reduce the risk of cyber attacks and protect against the unauthorised exploitation of systems, networks and technologies. This Cyber Security Quiz is designed to test the basic knowledge of Cyber Security and to rouse curiosity in participants for Cyber Security as we know Cyber Security plays a vital role in our lives because it encompasses everything that pertains to protecting our sensitive data, personally identifiable information (PII), protected health information (PHI), personal information, intellectual property, data, and governmental and industry information systems from theft and damage attempted by criminals and adversaries.

    Speakers briefed students various electrical simulation softwares and the importance of them. They are also mentioned that the aim of the workshop is to improve student’s career prospects in electrical network and simulations.

    In online workshop following content was covered.

    • DC analysis (DC Operating Point Analysis calculates the behavior of a circuit when a DC voltage or current is applied to it.)
    • AC analysis (AC Analysis is used to calculate the small-signal response of a circuit In AC Analysis, the DC operating point is first calculated to obtain linear, small-signal models for all nonlinear components.)
    • Transient Analysis (Transient analysis is the analysis of the circuits during the time it changes from one steady state condition to another steady state condition.)

All the applicants can check the given C Questions and Answers to prepare for the interviews. To increase the skills in the C Programming Language, the students need to practice the C Online Tests. For the sake of aspirants, we have arranged the C Mock Test on google forms to prepare. To clear students concepts and will prepare you for the interviews.

    Insπre, a Mathematics Club from the Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities, PHCET had organized a Workshop on “Engineering Mathematics-III” in collaboration with EMTSI (Engineering Mathematics Teacher’s Society, India). The target audiences were DSE students appearing for Semester-III examination of University of Mumbai. The event was co-ordinated by Dr. Avinash J. Kamble and organized by the students of Insπre Mathematics club. The event was graced by Dr. Mathew T. Joseph, Principal of PHCET and Dr. Manvendra Vashishta, HOD of Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities, PHCET.

The resource person for the 1st session was Dr. Teena Trivedi and the topics covered were Laplace Transforms and Inverse Laplace Transforms. And the resource person for the 2nd session was Dr. Narendrakumar Dasre and the topics Complex variables and Fourier series were covered. Strategies regarding MCQs and descriptive questions were given by the speakers.
