    Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering organized a training programme in association with Tata Power Skill Development Institute (TPSDI) Shahad on 16th June2025 to 20th June 2025. 8 students were present for training. The training was delivered by Mr. Sandeep Dhondopant Kulkarni, Mr. Satish Mahajan, Mr. Hari Rohra, and Mr. Gautam Sonawane TPSDI, Shahad. Experts are having more than 35 years of industrial experience. The training consists of both theory and hands-on skills. They gave theory explanation at beginning of session.

    Contents that were discussed during the Training are as follows:

    • Safety precautions – importance of high danger zone (as the Power plant is of 11kV), various safety were introduced and were given to use by students for example: safety shoes, helmet.
    • Basic overview of power system –overall generation, transmission, distribution and utilization is explained and how are they performed is demonstrated live.
    • Circuit breaker and relays – if fault occurs then Circuit Breaker should work. Also relay should indicate type of fault. This instrument is used to detect and stop the flow of current through the system.
    • Domestic wiring – Types of Wiring ,House Hold Typical Diagram ,Protection ,Type of wire & Conductor, Earthing , Types Of Wiring Diagram ,Fault.
    • Metering – Various types of meter, their testing, calculation of billing using meter, smart meter usage in the grid.

    Students gave a test prior to working in the power plant and also after the training one test was conducted. Certificates were issued after the test. Students were happy with the training program, course content and practical sessions. They gained theoretical as well as practical knowledge, which include overview of the power system.

    The program began with the Opening and Welcome Address, where the host welcomed the respected dignitaries, guest speaker, faculty members, and students. This was followed by the Prof. Rahul Kapse HOD of Information Technology Address’s, where the Head of the Department emphasized the importance of understanding corporate expectations and encouraged students to actively participate in such career-oriented sessions. Then respected Dr. Jagdish W. Bakal Principal of PHCET Address further highlighted the significance of developing employability skills, professional behaviour, and strong communication abilities to succeed in today’s competitive job market.

    As a gesture of appreciation, the institution conducted the Felicitation of the Speaker, presenting a token of gratitude for sharing professional knowledge and experience with the students.

    The core segment of the event was the Keynote Session: Career Talk with HR, where the speaker Ms. Veronica Farnendes Head HR of Reva Technologies discussed the functions of HR departments, recruitment and selection processes, resume preparation, LinkedIn profile building, and effective interview techniques. The session also covered important aspects such as corporate etiquette, workplace expectations, and professional ethics that students should follow in corporate environments.

    Following the keynote session, an Interactive Q&A Session was conducted where students had the opportunity to ask questions related to career development, hiring practices, interview preparation, and industry requirements. The discussion helped clarify many doubts and provided practical guidance to students for their future careers.

    The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks and Closing, where gratitude was expressed to the speaker, principal, HOD, faculty members, organizing team, and students for making the program successful.

    Overall, the session successfully enhanced students’ understanding of HR practices and corporate culture. It also helped them learn how to prepare professional resumes, improve interview communication skills, apply corporate etiquette, and identify industry expectations to plan their career development effectively.

    The Department of Computer Applications successfully organized a social outreach program aimed at educating young children about the importance of education. Guided by Principal Dr. Jagdish W. Bakal and HOD Prof. Abhijeet More, MCA students conducted interactive sessions that included games, storytelling, and educational activities to engage and inspire the children. As part of the initiative, 130 stationery kits were donated—109 were personally distributed to students of Standard 3, while the remaining kits were handed over to the school. The event also saw enthusiastic participation from the primary students, who recited rhymes, poems, and stories, making the interaction lively, meaningful, and impactful.

    The MCA Department organized a tree plantation drive in which students enthusiastically participated under the guidance of Principal Dr. Jagdish W. Bakal and HOD Prof. Abhijeet More. Motivated and inspired by the encouraging words of our HOD Sir, the students showed great zeal throughout the activity. All the boys actively engaged in every step of the process—from digging the soil to planting and watering the saplings—with a highly positive attitude. The initiative not only contributed to enhancing the green cover of the campus but also instilled a sense of environmental responsibility and teamwork among the students.

    On 26th October 2024, the Department of Computer Application organized a hands-on Workshop on R-Programming in Lab C404. The workshop aimed to provide students with a solid foundation in the R-Programming language and its applications in data analysis and visualization.

    The resource person, Mr. Ravindra Morya, delivered an engaging and interactive session. He introduced students to the basics of R, including the working environment, data handling, visualization techniques, and statistical analysis features of the language. The workshop also covered practical demonstrations, allowing students to apply concepts in real time.

    Prof. Abhijeet More extends sincere thanks to Mr. Ravindra Maurya for guiding and advising our students. His session was informative, inspiring, and highly appreciated by all FYMCA students.

    On 12th September 2025, the Department of Computer Application at PHCET, in collaboration with SYMCA Students, organized an enriching session on resume making it showcases students skills, experience, and education in a clear and organized way, making a strong first impression.

    Prof.Abhijeet More, Head of Department, delivered the welcome address, highlighting the importance of resume making events in developing skills among students. A targeted resume tailored to the job role shows you’re a good fit, increasing interview invitations. Held at the 4th floor A403 Hall(Smart Room), the session saw the enthusiastic participation of over 39 students.

    The guest speaker, Ms. Poonam Patil madam teaches students how to customize resumes for different job applications, emphasizing relevant skills and experiences and also guides on using keywords and formatting that improve chances of passing automated resume screenings.The session began with help participants define what roles or industries they’re targeting, so the resume aligns with their aspirations.Ensure the layout is clean, professional, and easy to scan making a strong first impression in seconds.

    A major highlight of the event was that a resume isn’t just a list of jobs, it’s a story of your impact. Ms.Poonam Patil madam helped students reflect on their strengths and tailor their profile to match industry expectations. Also shared Step-by-Step Guide to Making an ATS-Friendly Resume:

    • Use a clean, simple layout: Stick to a single-column format.
    • Avoid tables, graphics, icons, or unusual fonts.
    • Save your resume as a PDF or DOCX both are generally ATS-compatible. Use Standard Headings:
