    The “MaTPO Aptitude Idol” was organized by the Training and Placement Cell of PHCET College to provide engineering students with knowledge regarding aptitude test. The session aimed to make student aware of importance of aptitude skills in upcoming placements.

    OBJECTIVE :
    To make aware all students about aptitude test, skills required to succeed in various competitive exams.

    Preparation for aptitude test to succeed in campus recruitment.
    Awareness regarding importance of aptitude test in placement activities.

    DETAILED DESCRIPTION :

    The “MaTPO Aptitude Idol” was organized by the Training and Placement Cell of PHCET College to provide engineering students with knowledge regarding aptitude test.

    The aim of this aptitude competition is to make aware students regarding various aspects of test; types of questions come across during campus placements. Test focused more on topics like quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, time & distance questions etc.

    We told students about various new platforms like superset, introduced by many companies for placement assessment. Students were enlightened towards various coding platforms, online assessment rules introduced by companies during campus placement.

    The test aimed to make students aware of various skills required in order to excel in aptitude tests.

    CONCLUSION :

    The “MaTPO Aptitude Idol”” was a highly beneficial event for students, offering valuable aptitude insights, importance of aptitude training in placement procedures. The Training and Placement Cell of PHCET College extends its gratitude to MaTPO Team for their valuable contributions and efforts in making this session a success.

    Event Description:

    TECH ASPIRIA 2.0 is organized by the Department of Electronics & Computer Science at Pillai HOC College of Engineering & Technology, Rasayani. The theme “Where Technology meets Aspiration” reflects the ambition of budding engineers to turn ideas into impactful prototypes.

    Project Competition:

    A project competition is a technical event where students or professionals showcase innovative working models, prototypes, or research-based solutions addressing real-world challenges. These competitions, emphasize practical implementation, technical skills, and creativity, often requiring live demonstrations and Q&A sessions with judges

    Key Highlights:

    • Participation of over 57 teams with 200 student participants from all over institutes
    • Competitive project presentations from various engineering domains.
    • Judging based on innovation, technical soundness, feasibility, and impact.
    • Interaction with faculty mentors and industry-inspired evaluators.
    • Recognition and rewards for top-performing Three teams.

    This competition serves as an inspiration hub for students to transform technological dreams into concrete innovations and gain recognition in the academic and tech community

    Technical Paper Presentation:

    A technical paper presentation is an organized academic or professional event where individuals present original research, innovative ideas, or technical projects to an audience and panel of judges. It promotes research culture, fosters technical knowledge sharing, and develops presentation skills, typically structured with an introduction, methodology, findings, and Q&A.

    Key Highlights:

    • Participants presented their technical papers on various innovative topics such as:
    • Artificial Intelligence
    • Internet of Things (IoT)
    • Cyber Security
    • Cloud Computing
    • Machine Learning
    • 5G Technology
    • Each participant was given a specific time duration to present their paper using PowerPoint slides, charts, and real-life examples.

    Prompt Engineering:

    • The event consisted of two rounds. In Round I: Creative Prompt Engineering, participants explored the theme “AI – Myths and Facts” by identifying misconceptions and presenting correct insights through a visual story. They generated 3–5 AI-based images using prompts and converted them into a 30–40 second video with a clear narrative. The top 10 participants were shortlisted for the next round.
    • In Round II: AI Problem Solving Challenge, participants developed a Digital Literacy Support System using AI-generated code. The system was designed to assist beginners and senior citizens with basic digital skills such as email usage, online payments, and internet safety. Participants created interactive platforms providing step-by-step guidance. Two winners were selected based on performance and awarded with Trophy and cash prizes.

    Quiz Competition:

    A Quiz Competition was successfully conducted with enthusiastic participation from students of various departments. The event was organized in four different rounds to test the knowledge and skills of the participants in different areas. The competition was conducted in an interactive and competitive manner, making it both educational and enjoyable. A panel of judges ensured fair evaluation throughout the event. The competition consisted of multiple rounds.

    ECS Farewell Party – 2026

    The Department of Electronics & Computer Science organized a grand farewell party for the final-year engineering students on 09 April 2026 in the Architecture hall. The event was conducted to celebrate the achievements, memories, and journey of the outgoing batch and to wish them success in their future careers.

    The program began at 2:00 PM with blessings of Goddess Saraswati with lighting of the lamp and recitation of the Saraswati Vandana.
    The farewell function started with a floral welcome of Dr. Jagdish W. Bakal, Principal, PHCET and Dr. Mansi Subhedar, Head of Department by staff and students. A warm welcome speech presented by Dr. Mansi Subhedar, who appreciated the dedication and hard work of the graduating students throughout their academic years.

    The Principal appreciated the students for their hard work, discipline, and achievements in academics, technical activities, sports, and cultural events. The students were encouraged to face future challenges with confidence, honesty, and dedication.

    The juniors organized several cultural performances, including dance, music, comedy acts, and games, which created a joyful and emotional atmosphere. A special video presentation showcasing memorable moments from college life was displayed, bringing smiles and nostalgia to everyone present.

    The outgoing students also shared their experiences and expressed gratitude towards their teachers and classmates for their continuous support and guidance.

    The highlight of the evening was the cake-cutting ceremony followed by a group photo session. Refreshments were arranged for all attendees. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Priya Tambe, event coordinator, who wished students a bright and successful future. The farewell party was a memorable and emotional occasion that strengthened the bond between juniors and seniors and left everyone with cherished memories.

    A seminar on “Strategies for Getting Success in Competitive Exams” was organized for the students of FE, SE, and TE (ECS Department) on Feb 13, 2026 at 3rd Floor Architecture Hall by the IETE, Student Forum, ECS Department.

    The seminar began with a warm welcome and introduction of the Resource Person, Mr. Anwar Patel. He started the session by explaining the importance of setting clear career goals at an early stage. The seminar aimed at guiding students toward effective preparation techniques for various competitive examinations and helping them build a focused approach toward their career goals.

    He also shared practical examples and success stories to motivate the students. The session was interactive, and students actively participated in the question-and-answer segment.

    The session concluded with a vote of thanks expressing gratitude to the Resource Person and the organizing committee for conducting such an informative and inspiring seminar. The valuable insights shared by Mr. Anwar Patel helped students understand the roadmap toward achieving success in competitive examinations.

    An industrial visit for S.E. (Semester IV) Electronics & Computer Science students was organized by the Department of Electronics & Computer Science Engineering on 11th February 2026 at the PCB Factory of PHCET. The objective of the visit was to provide students with practical exposure to PCB manufacturing and to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and industrial practices.

    The visit began with a detailed PowerPoint presentation explaining the complete PCB manufacturing process. Students were introduced to each stage of production, including design, fabrication, and finishing techniques. Additionally, the process of making PCBs at home was discussed in detail, helping students understand low-cost prototyping methods and practical implementation.

    Following the presentation, students were guided through different sections of the PCB factory. This walkthrough allowed them to observe real-time operations and understand industrial workflow. Ms. Snehal Patil, the In-charge of the factory, explained the working of major machines used in mass PCB production and demonstrated their applications in large-scale manufacturing. Her guidance enabled students to connect theoretical knowledge with industrial equipment and processes.

    The visit proved to be highly informative and interactive. Students acquired real-world exposure to PCB production and strengthened their practical understanding of electronics manufacturing. The experience enhanced their technical awareness and provided insights into industrial standards, safety practices, and professional work culture.

    Overall, the industrial visit was successful in achieving its educational objectives and contributed significantly to the students’ experiential learning.

    On 18th March 2026, the Department of Computer Engineering at Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology successfully conducted “TECH-EXPO 3.0”, a dynamic platform designed to nurture creativity, innovation, and technical proficiency among students. The event featured a range of activities including Technical paper presentations, Poster presentations, and Project competitions.

    It witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of various engineering colleges in Navi Mumbai & Mumbai across different academic levels (SE, TE, and BE) encouraging meaningful academic interaction, exchange of ideas, and the demonstration of research-oriented projects and innovative concepts.

    The event began with a warm welcome and an introduction to “Tech Expo 3.0”, emphasizing its objective of fostering innovation and technical excellence among students. The occasion was further honored by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Principal Dr. Jagdish W. Bakal and HOD Dr. Rajashree Gadhave, along with respected judges Mr. Hussain Mansawala, Mr. Akshay Jain, Mr. Yash Mahajan,Mr.Atharva Deshmukh, Prof. Upendra Patil, and Prof. Kiran Bhandari, which added great significance to the event.

    The program began with a traditional lamp-lighting and ribbon-cutting ceremony, symbolizing the inauguration of knowledge and new beginnings. This was followed by inspiring addresses from the faculty coordinator Ms. Nikita Saindane, HOD Dr. Rajashree Gadhave and Principal Dr. Jagdish W. Bakal, which set a motivating and enthusiastic tone for the entire event.

The paper presentation was judged by Prof. Upendra Patil and Prof. Kiran Bhandari, while the poster presentation was evaluated by Mr. Atharva Deshmukh. The session began with an engaging discussion on how AI is transitioning from answering queries to planning, decision-making, and executing tasks autonomously. Students were introduced to the concept of Agentic AI and its significance in modern technological advancements.

    During the session, various real-world applications of Agentic AI were discussed, covering domains such as finance, healthcare, cybersecurity, and logistics. The resource person explained how AI systems are becoming more intelligent and capable of working towards defined goals.
