    A total of 89 delegates participated in the workshop. The function was inaugurated by honourable Lata Menon Madam, Dy. CEO, Rasayani Campus. Valedictory speech was delivered by Prof. S. N. Kadam, HOD of Mechanical Department. All the sessions were over by 17:00 hrs.

    The lectures comprised of

    • Mr. Dattatraya Parle who started his speech with introduction to Finite Element methods and then subsequently spoke about the mathematical formulations necessary for proper interpretation of results obtained from FEM. He also discussed about the live industrial problems carried out by him as a senior consultant to Infosys.
    • Dr. Uday Pise continued with the momentum of earlier speaker and took the discussion to higher level of difficulty he also discussed the practical experiences and projects carried out by him.
    • Mr. Punit Arora spoke about the latest trends in FEM and how they can be applied to pressure vessel design and design of plates and shells. He introduced the mathematical complexities in such design work using FEM. Current projects carried out by him were also discussed.
    • Dr. A. K. Dureja speech was a well coordinated effort between him and previous speaker, to reach the next level of complexity. He discussed about he projects carried by him and his team in BARC and also gave an insight to the student participants regarding the scope of this topic in current industrial scenario.

    Research Forum Seminar – 2014-15

    A Faculty Seminar Series under the aegis of MES Research Forum was conducted on 20th March, 2015 at Pillai HOCL Educational Campus, Rasayani.

    Forty five research papers in the diverse fields of engineering like Civil, Computers, Electronics & Telecommunication, Information & technology and Mechanical Engineering as a part of technical stream & ten papers from Non-Technical stream including Management, Education & Research, humanities & science were presented by faculty members of the various institutions of Mahatma Education Society.

    Dr. Priam Pillai, COO of Mahatma Education Society was the Chief Guest of the Seminar and delivered the key note address. Dr. Lata Menon, Deputy CEO of Pillai HOCL education Campus, Dr. Chelpa Lingam, Principal of PHCET delivered the welcome address.

Dr. Srikant Charhate, Dean of PHCET Rasayani announced the best paper awards for all the four parallel sessions which was conducted from 10:30 hrs to 16:00 hrs on 20th March, 2014.

    Series of Workshops on “Effective Problem Solving”

    PHCET organizes Series of Workshops on “Effective Problem Solving” for Regular, KT and Dropout students without any registration fees. In this workshop we make the students to learn under the supervision of subject experts. The main objective of this workshop is to provide healthy environment to engineering undergraduates to learn and remember. Students who have attended these workshops have benefitted immensely.

    Note: For attending the series of workshops, all dropout students should meet their respective HOD’s. Detailed schedule for upcoming workshops will be announced soon.
