Department of Civil Engineering conducted webinar on “Scope of Engineering Graduates as Techno-Managers” on Saturday, 28th January, 2023 at 11.30 a.m. Total 45 participants from S.E., T.E. and B.E. participated in this webinar. The webinar was highly informative for Students and research Scholars.

The objective of the webinar was to provide an in depth knowledge and to develop awareness of career opportunities in techno-managerial area. The expert, Prof. Ravindranadh Chowdary K, is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from PMI and possesses 15 years of experience. He completed his B. Tech in Civil Engineering from JNTU College of Engineering, Hyderabad, a Master’s in Construction Technology and Management from IIT – Madras and pursuing Ph.D. from IIT Delhi. He is currently working as Assistant Professor in NICMAR, Hyderabad for the last 6 years. Before this, he worked in M/s. Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Construction for 6 years in site execution, planning, tendering, and contracts. Prof. Ravindranadh’s research interests are C&D waste management, Project management, and contracts. Dr. Venkatesan has been awarded a Ph.D. from the Department of Civil Engineering, IIT-Madras in the area of Construction Management (2010). Dr. Venkatesan has pursued his Master’s in Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resource & System Management (2000) and Bachelors in Civil Engineering (1988). Dr. Venkatesan has been associated with the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) in numerous capacities for a period of 27 years and took a Voluntary Retirement (VRS), while he was serving as Executive Engineer.

The webinar was fruitful as the participants gained the knowledge about how concrete behaves. All the participants were issued E-certificate.
