A Webinar on “Iterative Learning Control” was organized through Google meet by Department of Electrical Engineering and it was held on 22nd May, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Dr.Vinodh Kumar. E, Associate Professor, School of Electrical Engineering, Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore was invited as the resource person. He has a vast experience in the area of control system and has published many papers in international journals. He has more than 10 years of experience in academic and research areas. Further, he is handling central government research projects in collaboration with IIT Madras. Webinar was organized by taking online registration through google forms. 213 participants had registered for the session.

The Speaker commenced the session with an introduction to feedback control system and its limitation and also introduced the advantages and disadvantages of feed forward control system. He mainly focused on Iterative learning control and its importance. Further, he explained the Iterative learning control with an example of magnetic levitation. He simulated an experiment with MATLAB to explain the application of Iterative learning control. In this webinar problems arising during modelling the Iterative learning control was also discussed.

The session concluded with a question answer session at 12:30 p.m. An online feedback form was sent to participants, positive feedback was received for the webinar and they suggested to organize more session like the same in the future. All the participate were provided with E certificate.
