The webinar was inaugurated with a virtual prayer and a lamp-lighting ceremony. Dr. Shilpa Kewate, convener made the opening comments. She greeted the attendees and introduced the committee members. Mr. Bhoumesh Pandit, President of the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), welcomed the speaker and also reviewed our previous activities and presented his goals and visions for the coming year. The session was started by the keynote speaker Mr. Venugopal R. on Energy Efficient Glasses.

Mr. Venugopal R. explained the key concepts of energy efficient glasses. Also brief information about Characteristics, stability and the important factors of Energy Efficient Glasses were provided by him. Energy-efficient glass is use for double or triple glazing used in modern windows in homes. Unlike the original single glazing or old double glazing, energy-efficient glazing incorporates low-emissivity coated glass to prevent heat escaping through the windows. This makes the windows highly thermally insulating hence improving the energy efficiency of your home and helping to save money on your heating bills.

The session concluded with an interactive session between the resource persons and the participants in which the queries of the participants were addressed satisfactorily.This event was graced by presence of Ms. Sarita Balodhi, Manager at Confederation of Construction Products and Services (CCPS), Mr. Bhavesh Mehta, Core Committee Member, CII IGBC Mumbai Chapter, Mr. Sandip Tallaulikar, Managing Director, Jackson Hospitality Pvt.
