Insπre, a Mathematics Club from the Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities, PHCET had organized a National Level Webinar Based Quiz Competition in association with SEAM e-Learning on the occasion of International Day of Mathematics. The event was co-ordinated by Dr. Avinash J. Kamble and organized by the students of Insπre Mathematics club.The main idea behind the event was “Learn and Win”. The event was graced by Dr. Mathew T. Joseph, Principal of PHCET and Dr. Manvendra Vashishta, HOD of Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities, PHCET.

Dr. Narendrakumar Dasre
The speaker of the webinar was Dr. Narendrakumar Dasre, Associate Professor in Applied Mathematics at D. Y. Patil Group’s RAIT, Nerul, Navi Mumbai. Firstly, a webinar was conducted on the topic “Mathematics in Image Processing and Machine Learning” and next a quiz competition was held based on the webinar.
Dr. Mathew T. Joseph, Principal, PHCET along with Dr. Narendrakumar Dasre declared the results of the quiz.
The winners were as follows:
1st position – Krutika Shinde from PHCET, Rasayani
2nd position – Benusiga P. from Rajagiri Business School
3rd position – Shaikh Rafiya Mohammed Zafar from A.E. Kalsekar Degree College
The winners were awarded with cash prize of Rs. 3,000/-, Rs. 2,000/- and Rs. 1,000/- respectively for 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions.
The event celebration concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Avinash J. Kamble.
