DAS Offshore Limited was established as an engineering and construction company mainly for fabrication of offshore structures in 1992. With passage of time, the company has diversified into various areas and presently serves sectors such as upstream / downstream hydrocarbon, water supply, infrastructure etc. The core service area however continues to be upstream oil & gas.

The new Rohini Yard is located at village Rohini, Taluka Mhasala, Dist Raigad, Maharashtra. 125 km by Road, off NH17 (Mumbai-Goa Highway). It is on the south Bank 10kms inside the mouth of Rajpuri Creek, opposite the famous Janjira Fort.

Industrial Visit was organized at DAS offshore, Rohini yard division, Mhasala on 22nd September, 2022. The visit was organized for final year students of Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Engineering. Dr. G. V. Patil (Head-Mechanical Engg. Department) taken initiative for the same and this Visit is sponsored by Bureau of Indian Standards, Mumbai Branch Office-II under standard club formed by BIS in PHCET. Mr. Vaibhav Bhagat (Faculty Coordinator of Standard club), Mr. Hemant patil, Mr. Atul Jade, Mr. Asokan S., Mr. R. D. More and Mr. Prashant Singh shared the responsibility for successful conduction of the event. Mr. Ashok Pawar (Power Plant incharge) of DAS offshore guided the students first and then the complete group in divided into three sub groups as per Mechanical, Civil and Electrical domain for a visit. These sub groups were accompanied by domain heads of the industry. A total of 65 students from Mechanical, Electrical and Civil participated in this Industrial visit.

The visit was organized to make students familiar with Different manufacturing processes and specialized fabrication processes for offshore projects. In this company students also saw the berthing of ships, loading / unloading of unmanned oil platforms and approach channel for safe navigation.

Students also saw the covered workshop with state-of-the-art equipment for cutting, piping, fabrication of steel plate, beam, pipe spools etc., pre-assembly work and assembly of different structures etc.
