HackOverflow 4.0, a three-day national-level hackathon organized by the Department of Computer Engineering of Pillai HOC College of Engineering & Technology, Rasayani, was held from March 11th to March 13th, 2026. The event aimed to provide a platform for aspiring technologists to showcase their skills, collaborate with peers, and tackle real-world challenges in the field of technology.

HackOverflow 4.0 saw enthusiastic participation from students representing various colleges and universities across the country from 12+ states. Over the course of three days, participants worked tirelessly in teams to ideate, innovate, and develop solutions aligned with the theme of “Urban to Global.” With access to state-of-the-art facilities and mentorship from industry experts, the event fostered an environment conducive to creativity and problem-solving.

In the excellent success of HackOverflow 4.0, Pillai Institute’s Chairman Dr. Vasudevan Pillai, Dr. Daphne Pillai, Dr. Priyam Pillai, Prof. Munawira Pillai, Mr. Franav Pillai, the proficient guidance of Principal Dr. Jagdish W. Bakal and the excellent leadership of the Computer Department’s HOD, Dr. Rajashree Gadhave, Faculty Coordinators Prof. Pradnya Patil, Prof. Rutvij Mane and other teachers have contributed greatly. Final year students Mr. Darin Joy and Ms. Sampriti Dogra, a remarkable student, lead the event HackOverflow 4.0.

The event featured a series of evaluation rounds, networking sessions and mentorship opportunities, providing participants with valuable insights and guidance from industry experts. Participants had access to cutting-edge technologies and resources to develop their projects, enhancing their learning experience and skill development. Collaboration and teamwork were emphasized, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing and fellowship among participants. The hackathon concluded with presentations and demonstrations of the projects developed by the participating teams, highlighting their innovative solutions and problem-solving abilities.

Distinguished guests and judges from Google graced the event, providing invaluable insights and guidance to participants. Guest of Honour Mr. Abhijit More, honored the occasion with their presence. The judging panel, comprising Ms. Nikita Gandhi, Mr. Anand Mehta, Mr. Prasad Sawant brought extensive experience and expertise to evaluate the projects.

The sponsors for HackOverflow 4.0 included AECC, IMFS, Sumago Infotech Pvt. Ltd., OSEN, Binghamton University, Besides, Upthrust, StudyIn, Imperial, languify, Golden Oriole Education, Reva Technologies, which doubled the program’s glory.

HackOverflow 4.0 was not just a competition but a celebration of innovation, collaboration, and ingenuity. The event provided participants with a platform to push the boundaries of technology and create solutions that have the potential to shape the future. HackOverflow 4.0 was a resounding success, bringing together young technologists and innovators to explore, ideate, and create solutions for building smarter cities.
