Event Objective : To create awareness about cleanliness, hygiene, and proper waste management among students and the community. To encourage active participation in building a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment.
The NSS Unit of PHCET organized a Swachh Bharat Mission awareness program on 29 January 2026 to promote cleanliness and hygiene among Peoples. Around 50 NSS volunteers actively participated in the activity under the guidance of the NSS Programme Officer.
The program aimed to create awareness about cleanliness, proper waste disposal, and the importance of maintaining a healthy environment. It focused on encouraging students to adopt hygienic habits and actively contribute toward a clean surrounding.
Volunteers assembled at the college premises and were briefed about the objectives of the program. Activities such as campus cleaning and awareness sessions were conducted. The volunteers actively participated in the cleanliness drive and motivated fellow students to maintain sanitation in their surroundings.
The Swachh Bharat Mission program was a successful initiative that reflected the commitment of NSS volunteers toward environmental responsibility. Such activities help in building discipline and civic sense among students. The NSS Unit plans to organize similar cleanliness drives in the future.
