Event Objective : To commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur, revered as “Hind Di Chadar”, by instilling the values of courage, sacrifice, religious freedom, and unwavering faith among youth through group singing and oratory competitions.
The NSS Unit of PHCET organized a program on 23 February 2026 to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur, revered as Hind Di Chadar, as part of its cultural and value-based activities. Students actively and enthusiastically participated in the event as dedicated NSS volunteers, contributing significantly to its successful execution.
The program aimed to spread awareness about the life, sacrifice, and teachings of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, highlighting his supreme sacrifice for the protection of religious freedom and human rights. The event focused on instilling values such as courage, selflessness, faith, unity, and commitment to justice among students.
The program was conducted at the college premises, where volunteers were briefed about the historical significance of the 350th Shaheedi Samagam. Activities included a group singing competition and an oratory competition based on his life and ideals, making the event meaningful and impactful.
The commemoration was a successful initiative that strengthened cultural awareness and moral values among NSS volunteers, reinforcing their sense of responsibility towards society and the nation.
