The PTM (Parents Teachers Meeting) Even Semester A.Y. 2022-23 of the Computer Engineering Department was conducted on 4th March, 2023 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for the students of the Department of Computer Engineering. The main agenda of the meeting was to provide a common platform, where teachers and parents come together to discuss the various issues for the performance improvement of the students.

The agenda of the Parents and Teachers Meeting was as follows:

  1. Overview about various activities organized by the Institute and the department
  2. Discuss students’ performance in the Internal Assessment-I results.
  3. Discuss attendance of students till midterm.
  4. Encourage parents to motivate students to participate in Co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
  5. Encourage students to participate in TGMS, TPO Session and placement activities.
  6. Discussed regarding upcoming event HACKOVERFLOW 1.0.

Meeting started with an interaction session of parents with Principal Dr. J. W. Bakal. He shared with parents about various activities conducted by the institute for overall growth of the students. He also addressed them regarding activities which will be covered during academic year and examination activities. Institute TPO Ms. Divya Nair explained the process of the training and placement and challenges she face during the interview if student do not report on time. She requested parents to keep track of students involved in the training and placement activities. After institute level interaction parents were invited to department for the department level interaction. Ms. Rohini Bhosale, (HOD Computer Engineering) addressed the gathering and discussion on various topics such as student’s attendance, exam schedule, Teacher Guardian Mentoring Scheme, TPO session activities, HACKOVERFLOW 1.0 etc. with the parents and students was done. HoD interaction was followed by the Class Coordinators (CCs) and subject in-charge. Attendance and Unit Test-1 marks were shown to parents and progress of students was discussed including the upcoming industry visit which was organized in the coming week where students were encouraged to participate. 149 total number of parents attended the meeting from SE, TE and BE. At the end of the session parents filled the Parents feedback form and survey form to express their views. Parents gave excellent feedback for the teaching learning process, accessibility of Teacher / HOD / Principal, infrastructure facilities, learning resources such as library, internet and support services like career counseling, placement etc. Parents were satisfied with the activities and teaching-learning process followed in the department.
