Department of Computer Engineering organized Elocution Competition on “Mandela Day” celebration on 18th July, 2018. Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was a South African anti-apartheid revolutionary, political leader, peace activist and philanthropist who served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. He was the country’s first black head of state and the first elected in a fully representative democratic election. Nelson Mandela was born on 18th July 1918, on is birth anniversary our department celebrated “Mandela Day”. The students were asked to speak about for 5 minutes on Justice and Peace: remenbering two Angels” based on Mandela and/or Gandhiji. 21 students from second year and third year participated in the event. The judges for the event were Dr. Mathew T. Joseph, Dr. Ashok Kanthe, Ms. Ekta Ukey, Ms. Rajeshree Aneesh, Mr. Vikram Pawar. 2 students Sagar Kotian, Briam Davis were selected from the department for the college round.
