The Student Chapter Committee of Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) at Mahatma Education Society’s Pillai’s HOC College of Engineering & Technology, Rasayani has conducted Intercollegiate Project Competition on “Interventions on Sustainable Strategies” on 11th March, 2022 (Friday).

Objective of this competition was to create awareness about sustainable engineering practices, capacity building for next generation & green procurement that helps in creating a sustainable tomorrow. Students from seven various colleges across Mumbai University have registered for this event. Total 23 groups from seven different colleges across Mumbai University had registered for this competition.

Welcome address was proposed by Dr. J. W. Bakal, Principal, Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology, Rasayani and he emphasized the urgency of the concept to achieve the goal of sustainability. Dr. Mala Singh, Chief guest of the event briefed about sustainability. She encouraged students that they should be involved in developing the strategies which should meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. This event was graced by the presence of Mr. Sandeep Mendiratta, Core Committee Member of IGBC Mumbai Student Chapter and Mr. Shahzed Lehry, Committee Member of IGBC Mumbai Student Chapter.
