Hackoverflow 2023 was a 3-day National Level Hackathon conducted by the Department of Computer Engineering which was held from 16th to 18th March, 2023 for the students. This 36-hour hackathon aimed at providing a platform for all the keen students who took this opportunity to showcase their coding skills and teamwork. Students had an opportunity to develop projects on themes like Social Welfare, Fintech, Open Source, Healthcare, AI/ML, AR/VR, Blockchain and Sustainability. The event got a great response with 150+ team’s nationwide responses out of which 62 teams were shortlisted to compete in this hackathon based on their excellent project ideas. The event was well supported by various sponsors and with an amazing prize pool of worth Rs. 1 lakh. This hackathon was organised in both online and offline mode. With such active participation from the students, it was indeed a spectacular event.

The opening ceremony was graced by Dr. J. W. Bakal, Principal, Pillai HOC Engineering and Technology, Head of the Computer Department; Prof. Rohini Bhosale, Founder and CEO of Mahatma Education Society (MES), Dr. K. M. Vasudevan Pillai and Chief Guests Mr. Anjani Kumar Thakur (CSE 2 at Google), Ms. Nikita Gandhi (Community Manager at Google) and Mr. Shridhar Mankar (Content creator famously known as 5 Minutes Engineering).

After the lighting of lamp to inaugurate our hackathon and felicitation of our guests, the students were motivated a lot by our present dignitaries and guests. Their words were truly encouraging and helped in raising the spirit of the event. Participants were made well aware about the rules to be followed during the hackathon. At 5:00 p.m. the hackathon started off and participants started working on their respective ideas.
The student coordinator Prathamesh Pande and the student mentors Rishabh Mehta, Pushkar and Rajat along with the faculties of computer department PHCET made sure participants didn’t face any issues and guided them well on their particular domain during the time of the hackathon.

Hackoverflow 2023 was dignified by truly amazing and supportive panel members. Mr. Anjani Kumar Thakur from Google, Dr. Yogesh Jadhav and Dr. Varunakshi Bhojane were the part of the judging panel.

The judges had a tough time selecting the winners, as all the teams had come up with remarkable solutions. However, after careful consideration, the following teams were declared as the winners:
