Mahatma Education Society’s Pillai HOC College of Engineering & Technology, Rasayani works towards nurturing the sense of care and commitment in students for society as part of its education. Students will integrate community service in their professional and personal lives. Students personally volunteer their time to community service programs that caters to the needs of the under privileged.
This year the Community Service Day was held on 23rd January, 2016 from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. at Dr. K. M. Vasudevan Pillai Campus, New Panvel. Like every year this year too Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology, Rasayani actively participated in it. The college invited 21 inmates and a caretaker from Bless Foundation located at Chiple, Sukhapur, New Panvel. In the morning students and staff picked up the inmates from the orphanage. On their arrival at Dr. K. M. Vasudevan Pillai Campus, New Panvel they were provided with lunch. Later the staff and students of the college joined them in entertainment activities. Drawing Competition, Songs, Dance performances, Instrumental music fusion shows were organized by the students as well as faculty. Dr. Chelpa Lingam (Principal, PHCET) & Mr. Amar V. Mange (Principal, PHCP) felicitated and shared words with the inmates. In the evening, the inmates were provided snacks. In the end every inmate and accompanying caretaker was provided with token of love and mementos.
