The Alumni Association of Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology, Rasayani organized “ALUMNI Meet” on 20th December, 2014, a program to facilitate, consolidate and coordinate Alumni at Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology, Rasayani.

To take a walk down the corridors of nostalgia, the Second alumni Meet was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Chelpa Lingam. The meet started traditionally with the lighting of lamp by Principal Dr. Chelpa Lingam and Dean Dr. Shrikant Charhate and was followed by the recital song Saraswati vandana. Speaking on the occasion, the dean underlined and praised the achievements of Alumni of Pillai’s HOC College of Engineering and Technology, Rasayani. He felt that it was matter of great pride for PHCET that its Alumni are holding positions of responsibility in various Private sectors, Government organizations and Academic Institutions.

The Inaugural session was also attended by various HODs, faculty and staff members of PHCET. The Anchor of Alumni highlighted the achievements of PHCET and called for greater Alumni Participation.

The Principal Dr. Chelpa Lingam welcomed the alumni and appreciated their zeal to assemble here despite their busy schedule. He presented the report of the activities undertaken by the association since last Alumni Meet in 2013. The vote of the thanks was given by Mr. Rahul Kapse, Chairman of Alumni association.

The Inaugural session was followed by cultural programme by our students and alumni. Great bonhomie was observed everywhere with old students reliving their old memories with their batch mates, seniors and juniors. Many of the current students were also seen interacting with their pass out seniors and learning from their experiences. In all, the ambience was electric with people seen chatting and dancing in groups.

The whole college witnessed active involvement of the alumnus, and a number of commendable suggestions and proposals came up, some of which were approved and the left were set aside for later action. It was decided to strengthen the link between the current PHCET students and alumni for their support to current students in the area of training, placement, career counselling and any other help. The Meet ended with promise to meet again and everyone bid emotional farewell to each other and their beloved PHCETians.
