Event ObjectiveThe objective of this workshop is encouraging students to write papers and report with ease by using latest technology.
Event OutcomeStudent should learn a new tool of formatting as LaTeX provides a very powerful, yet easy-to-learn way of formatting documents. It offers a consistent and uniform layout. Students will be able to learn Typeset a mathematical document using LaTex. Students will be able to learn about graphics in LaTex.

The Department of Computer Engineering organized a workshop on LaTex Designing on 4th March, 2025. Total 81 students attended the program. This hands-on workshop conducted by Prof. Jayesh Rane, Assistant Professor, ECS dept. The main objective behind conducting this workshop is to encourage students to write papers and report, and so this software helps students to write a paper with less effort. This workshop conducted in D312 lab.

The workshop on LaTeX was organized with the goal of introducing participants to the powerful typesetting system used primarily for academic and technical writing. LaTeX is widely used by researchers, scientists, engineers, and academics to create professional-looking documents, including research papers, thesis, reports, and books.

This session was designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of LaTeX, covering key topics such as:

  • Document Structuring
  • Formatting and Styling
  • Equations and Figures
  • Tables and References

The LaTeX workshop was a success, with participants gaining a deeper understanding of how to use LaTeX for their academic and professional work. Overall, the workshop met the expectations of students.
