For First Year students on 10th March, 2023 in Conclave – I

The objectives of the workshop were to enable the participants to apply the email etiquettes while sending the official letters and to achieve clarity and successful communication.

Prof. Poonam Patil, Applied Sciences and Humanities enlightened the students to a two hour enlightening Session on “Email Writing and Etiquette”. Prof. Poonam took the participants through a series of slides and PowerPoint presentations, lectures and discussions to share the precise and methods of email writing, the basic traits of business letters, vocabulary, greeting salutations and conclusions. She demonstrated the techniques to write an effective mail by showcasing the fact that writing emails is not as easy as it may appear and thus one must follow dos and don’ts of email writing.

She also commented on the language that must be excluded in e-mail communications and how emails must precise, short, brief from the subject line to the greeting and the signing off in an email. It was a highly interactive and participative workshop.

At the end of the session students asked questioned to clear their doubts. There were 85 participants in the workshop and feedback was collected from all the participants.
