Recommender systems are among the most popular applications of data science today. They are used to predict the “rating” or “preference” that a user would give to an item. A recommendation engine filters the data using different algorithms and recommends the most relevant items to users. It first captures the past behaviour of a customer and based on that, recommends products which the users might be likely to buy.

The session hereby was to get aware of the development recommendation engine. To inculcate knowledge about the same, Mr. Parth Sharma was invited as the speaker of the workshop. His commendable knowledge and experience helped the attendees to learn about ML and Data Science.
The event was marked as a delightful experience for the participants as the event was very well organized and a very informative session. The attendees were pleased and overall it was a very fun and productive experience. There were a total 73 students who showed their interest and participated in the workshop.
