Google Developer Student Club of Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology had successfully conducted an online Webinar on “Introduction to Google Cloud” for students and faculty members.

The key speaker, Mr. Dharmesh Vaya is the Google Developer Expert for Google Cloud Platform and Payments, as well as Cloud Solutions Architect, he has over 14 Years of experience in developing and driving Cloud strategies across the large organization. Apart from this, he actively manages the Google Developer Groups (GDG) Cloud Mumbai, and has taken many sessions on various google technologies.

A total of 115 students and faculty had registered for the event. Mr. Dharmesh commenced the session by explaining about the cloud technology and infrastructure, history of cloud, how cloud came into existence in various different stages, introduction to the google cloud platform, and then discussed about many different APIs available on the Google Cloud Platform for developers to use and Integrate in our ongoing projects, he explained about the key APIs and features of GCP, as told us about various use-cases for many of these APIs and features present in the Google Cloud Platform.

Later in Question answer session, participants asked their doubts and questions. The speaker took all the questions and explained them, he also specified important certifications in cloud for freshers and job opportunities on this domain. After QNA session, the Lead of the Google Developer Student Club, PHCET discussed the upcoming event on Android Development for all the students and faculties, as well as the upcoming Android Study Jams for all the students to develop their skills and gain certification in Android Development.

The session ended with vote of thanks by Ms. Neetu Pillai, Faculty Co-ordinator. Later Feedback link was sent to the participants and E-Certificate were mailed to their registered mail ids. Positive feedback was received from all participants.
