The NSS UNIT of PHCET Rasayani organized a trek to Karnala Fort on 14th February, 2025, in honor of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti. The trek aimed to provide students with an opportunity to connect with history, understand the strategic importance of forts, and appreciate the bravery and leadership of Shivaji Maharaj.

To explore Maharashtra’s rich cultural heritage and understand the historical significance of Karnala Fort.
Students gained knowledge about history, teamwork, and fort architecture.

The trek commenced in the morning with enthusiastic participation from NSS volunteers and first-year students. As they ascended the fort, they encountered lush greenery, historical ruins, and breathtaking views. Throughout the journey, students experienced the thrill of trekking, reinforcing their endurance, discipline, and teamwork.Upon reaching the fort, Mr. Vikram Pawar shared historical insights about Karnala Fort, explaining its architectural design, strategic location, and its role in protecting trade routes.

Activities on Reading Inspiration Day:

  1. Historical Learning: Students were educated about the fort’s historical background and its significance in the Maratha Empire.
  2. Exploration: Participants explored different parts of the fort, analyzing its architecture and geographical importance.
  3. Team-building: The trek encouraged team spirit, leadership, and resilience among students.
