Event Objective : To inspire youth by promoting the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and encouraging self-discipline, leadership, and responsible citizenship.
The NSS Unit of PHCET organized the celebration of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti (164th Yuva Diwas) on 8 January 2026 as part of its annual youth development and social awareness activities. A large number of NSS volunteers actively participated in the program under the guidance of the NSS Programme Officer and faculty coordinators.
The program aimed to spread awareness about the life, teachings, and ideals of Swami Vivekananda, emphasizing the role of youth in nation-building. The event focused on encouraging values such as self-discipline, leadership, confidence, and social responsibility among students, in line with the spirit of Yuva Diwas.
The event commenced at the college premises, where volunteers assembled on time and were briefed about the significance of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti. Activities included inspirational talks, discussions on youth empowerment, and reflections on Swami Vivekananda’s vision for a strong and ethical society. Active participation from students made the program engaging and impactful.
The celebration of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti was a successful and inspiring initiative that reinforced positive values among NSS volunteers. Such programs play an important role in shaping responsible youth and strengthening their commitment towards society and the nation. The NSS Unit looks forward to organizing similar value-based activities in the future.
