Prof. Suma Lalit, from Applied Sciences and Humanities, introduced students to the reflective practices for personal and professional growth. The one hour session enable the students to imbibe and self-examine one’s own action. It helped students to introspect their attitude, emotional intelligence and decisions after the event have occurred in order to gain a deeper understanding of the potential for future improvements. This method of professional development is especially crucial for workplace and it enhances ability to understand customers’ emotions and intentions.

Prof. Suma further highlighted the Reflective practice technique that incorporated deeper understanding of the method of looking back to the events and breaking them down to the smallest details in order to gain a better understanding and, therefore, experience. She explained how change of habits that comes with the adoption of reflective practice gives a person a chance to improve other aspects of his or her life.

The session was informative and interactive with series of example reflected from real life events. There were total 85 participants attended the session. Feedback was collected at the end of the session.
