Event Objective :

The objective of this event was to promote environmental awareness and foster creativity among students by encouraging them to design posters on themes related to sustainability and eco-friendly practices.

Event Outcome :

Students developed a deeper understanding of sustainable development concepts and enhanced their ability to visually communicate important environmental messages through art.

Description of Event:

The IGBC Student Chapter at Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology, Rasayani, successfully organized the Poster Making Competition on 30 January 2025 (Thursday) as part of the Harit Prem Bharat Mahotsav celebrations held from 27th to 31st January 2025.

A total of 39 enthusiastic students from the Civil, Mechanical, and Computer Engineering departments participated in the competition, showcasing their creativity and commitment to sustainability. The event served as a dynamic platform for students to express their artistic skills while advocating for environmental protection.

Participants designed posters based on various impactful themes, including:

  • Ditch Plastic, Embrace Nature
  • The 3Rs Revolution: Reuse, Reduce, Recycle
  • Clean and Green India
  • End Pollution, Start Solutions
  • Go Solar, Save the Planet
  • Cherish Nature: Care Today, Thrive Tomorrow
  • Conserve Energy, Brighten the Future

The competition highlighted the growing awareness among future engineers about sustainable development and encouraged them to creatively contribute to environmental conservation.
