NSS volunteers performed skits and plays focusing on tribal history and environmental conservation.

World Tribal Day is celebrated every year on 9th August. The objective of this day is to protect the rights of tribal communities and create awareness about them. On this day, the contributions of tribal people are honored, including their significant role in addressing global issues such as environmental conservation.

The NSS Unit of Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology, Rasayani, in collaboration with the NSS Unit of M.D. College, Parel, Mumbai, organized a vibrant celebration of World Tribal Day with the villagers and tribal communities of Thakurwadi Posri. The event aimed to honor tribal culture, traditions, and their invaluable contributions to society while fostering community interaction and awareness. The celebration brought urban students and tribal communities closer, building mutual respect and understanding. It emphasized the need for preserving tribal culture and encouraged the youth to take an active role in promoting inclusivity. Villagers expressed their gratitude for the efforts and collaboration, appreciating the recognition given to their culture and lifestyle.
