Industry Mentor-Mentee Interaction ESAY 2020-21

PHCET considers mentoring as both professional and personal preparation for corporate life with the guidance of an elder and accomplished professional. The objective of this Industry Mentor–Mentee programme is to inculcate a winner’s attitude and cultivate good personal and professional traits in the young and help them become Industry ready.

The industry mentor-mentee interaction for ESAY 2020-21 was conducted on and 15th May, 2021 at 2.30 p.m. The details of the industry mentors as are as follows:

2. Mr. Vivek Sawant- Proprietor- Constructive India
3. Mr. Pratik Mhatre- Project Engineer Thyrocare Technologies Ltd.
4. Mr. Vinit Jadhav- Director & Contractor – Newshawk Pvt. Ltd.

Industry Mentors started the session with their introduction to their carriers. They also told their graduation interest towards study and how to choose the right field to our TE students. Apart from the topic of discussion, the mentors urged the students to plan their career right from their days of graduation course and also introduced them to the various possibilities of career in civil engineering rather than just site engineer and design engineer. They also emphasized on the need of thorough learning of the theoretical concepts. The sessions proved to be an overall success as evident from the student oral feedback.

Topic: Introduction to Construction Industry

All the Industry Mentors are working in high position and in esteemed organization. They are having a very vast experience more than 15 years in construction industry. In the first session they have introduced about themselves to students and Students did a self-introduction to each mentor during the start of each session. Apart from the topic of discussion, the mentors urged the students to plan their career right from their days of graduation course and also introduced them to the various possibilities of career in civil engineering rather than just site engineer and design engineer.
