As per the AICTE guideline, three days Induction Programme was conducted by Applied Sciences and Humanities Department for the academic year 2023-2024 from Monday, Aug 7th, 2023 to Wednesday, Aug 9th, 2023 on 9th Floor Auditorium, PHCET. The day wise details of the session are given below:

7th August, 2023:

The event began with a warm welcome speech by the Principal, Dr. J. Bakal, setting a positive tone for the day. The Principal highlighted the importance of the orientation program in helping students transition smoothly into college life. Dr. Vasudevan Pillai, the Honourable Chairman, addressed the gathering, providing valuable insights into the institution’s vision and mission. His motivational speech encouraged students to strive for excellence in both academics and extracurricular activities. Dr. Manvendra Vashishta, the Head of the first-year department, introduced and welcomed the new students. He provided an overview of the department’s academic curriculum, faculty, and various opportunities available to students. Dr. Niveditha Shreyansh and Dr G.V. Patil conducted a hurtfulness meditation session, emphasizing the importance of mental well-being and stress management. The session aimed to equip students with relaxation techniques to enhance their overall college experience. Day one concluded with the Training and Placement Session by Ms. Divya Nair, which was a resounding success, offering students practical insights and tools to navigate the transition from academia to the professional world

8th August, 2023:

The session commenced with an expert guest lecture delivered by Dr. G.V. Patil on ‘Meditation and Yoga, followed by the briefings on ‘laboratory safety’ by Prof. Nilesh Raut. The second half session began with an introduction to library by Mr. Amar Mane preceded by English Movie Screening coordinated by Prof. Poonam Patil and Ms.Suma Lalit.

9th August, 2023:

Dr. Vashistha, a distinguished speaker and academician, delivered a motivational lecture to inspire students. His talk focused on the importance of education, perseverance, and maintaining a positive mind set. Dr. Vashistha’s insights provided students with a motivational boost as they embark on their educational endeavours.

Then Class Coordinators (CCs) delivered an introductory lecture, outlining the academic structure, course expectations, and the support system available to students. Following the diagnostic test, a detailed feedback session was conducted

The Orientation Program successfully achieved its objectives of providing a warm welcome, introducing students to the academic environment, and fostering a sense of community. The engaging sessions, motivational speeches, and interactive games contributed to a positive and memorable start for the new academic year.
