Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering organized 3 Days Faculty Development Program on “Electronic System Design, Modeling & Simulation” from 8th – 10th June, 2020. The FDP was organized in Association with Entuple Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Pune and IETE, Navi Mumbai. 135 faculty members from various engineering colleges across Maharashtra registered for the program. FDP mainly aimed at electronic design and software tools used for the same. FDP started with opening remarks by Dr. Mansi Subhedar, Head of the Department followed by introduction of the session speaker, Dr. Sudhakar Mande by Ms. Rekha Dhawan, FDP coordinator. Dr. Mande delivered session on “Overview of VLSI Technology”. He started with the basics of VLSI and also explained design process. The second session was conducted by Mr. Zarrar Khan, Assistant Professor at AIKTC, Panvel. He demonstrated Microwind software used for VLSI design.
On second day, Mr. Avinash Keshav, Sr. Application Engineer at Entuple Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Pune delivered session. Entuple Technologies provide solution to different sectors such as Aerospace and Defense, academia, Automotive, Industrial Equipment and rotating measurement. At Entuple Mr. Avinash Keshav supports Cadence tool which is EDA tool in industries. He explained Cadence based Semi-custom Design flow and Cadence based Full-custom Design flow used in VLSI design.
Third day had session of Mr. Kamlesh Kumar who is working as Sr. Application Engineer at Entuple Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Pune At Entuple Mr. Kamlesh Kumar supports is also involved in technical support for OrCAD P-Spice, PCB and MITS Prototyping solutions for R & D, Corporate, Commercial and Academic market. He explained Electronic Devices and Circuit Simulation using OrCAD tool and PCB design using OrCAD PCB flow. The FDP was concluded with vote of thanks to all the participants, Session speakers and Management, Mahatma Education Society.
