The inauguration ceremony of the American Concrete Institute (ACI) Student Chapter was held on 28th April 2025 in the institute auditorium. The event was graced by the presence of our respected Principal, Dr. J. W. Bakal, who officially inaugurated the chapter.
The establishment of the ACI Student Chapter marked a significant milestone for our institution, providing an excellent platform for students to deepen their knowledge and strengthen their skills in the field of concrete technology. Through this initiative, students were introduced to global standards, innovative research trends, and advanced professional practices in concrete and construction engineering. The chapter aimed to enhance student development by encouraging active participation in technical events, hands-on learning, research activities, and industry-focused interactions.
The event concluded on a highly positive note, laying a strong foundation for a series of future workshops, expert talks, industrial visits, competitions, and collaborative projects under the ACI banner. These activities were expected to significantly benefit the student community by improving their technical competence, practical understanding, and overall readiness for careers in the field of concrete technology.
