On 18th March 2026, the Department of Computer Engineering at Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology successfully conducted “TECH-EXPO 3.0”, a dynamic platform designed to nurture creativity, innovation, and technical proficiency among students. The event featured a range of activities including Technical paper presentations, Poster presentations, and Project competitions.
It witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of various engineering colleges in Navi Mumbai & Mumbai across different academic levels (SE, TE, and BE) encouraging meaningful academic interaction, exchange of ideas, and the demonstration of research-oriented projects and innovative concepts.
The event began with a warm welcome and an introduction to “Tech Expo 3.0”, emphasizing its objective of fostering innovation and technical excellence among students. The occasion was further honored by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Principal Dr. Jagdish W. Bakal and HOD Dr. Rajashree Gadhave, along with respected judges Mr. Hussain Mansawala, Mr. Akshay Jain, Mr. Yash Mahajan,Mr.Atharva Deshmukh, Prof. Upendra Patil, and Prof. Kiran Bhandari, which added great significance to the event.
The program began with a traditional lamp-lighting and ribbon-cutting ceremony, symbolizing the inauguration of knowledge and new beginnings. This was followed by inspiring addresses from the faculty coordinator Ms. Nikita Saindane, HOD Dr. Rajashree Gadhave and Principal Dr. Jagdish W. Bakal, which set a motivating and enthusiastic tone for the entire event.
Schedule of Events:
- 11:00 AM – 11:15 AM: Inauguration and a ribbon-cutting ceremony
- 11:15 AM – 11:30 AM: Address by Ms. Nikita Saindane (faculty coordinator),
- Dr. Rajashree Gadhave(HOD)and Dr. Jagdish W. Bakal (Principal)
- 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM: Poster and Paper Presentations and Project Competition
- 2:00 PM- 2:30 PM -: Lunch Break
- 2:30 PM-4:00 PM :- Final Round of Project Competition
- 4:00 PM – 4:30 PM: Declaration of Winners
- 4:30 PM – 4:45 PM: Vote of Thanks
The event featured various competitions such as Project Presentation (55+ groups), Paper Presentation (20+ groups), and Poster Presentation (15+ groups), where students showcased their ideas and technical skills.
Resource Persons and Experts:
The event was graced by distinguished industry experts, including Mr. Hussain Mansawala, Mr. Akshay Jain,Mr. Yash Mahajan,and Mr. Atharva Deshmukh who shared valuable insights into the types of projects commonly undertaken in real-world industry scenarios, enriching students’ understanding of practical applications.
The evaluation process was carried out by an esteemed panel of judges across various segments. The paper presentation was judged by Prof. Upendra Patil and Prof. Kiran Bhandari, while the poster presentation was evaluated by Mr. Atharva Deshmukh. The project competition was assessed by Mr. Hussain Mansawala, Mr. Akshay Jain, and Mr. Yash Mahajan, ensuring a fair and comprehensive evaluation of participants across all categories.
The evaluation was based on multiple factors, including literature surveys, conceptual studies, practical implementations, and the social impact of the projects. This approach ensured that the projects were assessed not only on their technical merits but also on their real-world relevance.

The event concluded on a high note with a valedictory ceremony followed by prize distribution, honoring the exceptional efforts and achievements of the participants and celebrating the overall success of the event.
