Event Description
A Seminar on “Research, Innovation and Academic Collaboration Opportunity in Abroad” was conducted on November 28th, 2024 at Conclave 2.
The session was attended by 56 enthusiastic students (UG and PG) and faculty members from the department The seminar aimed to broaden participants’ awareness about global academic pathways and encourage them to explore international learning environments.
The seminar was delivered by Dr. Tarendra Lakhankar, Senior Scientist & Professor, NOAA-CREST Institute, City University of New York, USA.Dr. Lakhankar provided an in-depth overview of international research ecosystems and the role of innovation in solving global challenges. He explained various avenues for students to engage in research internships, joint academic programs, exchange opportunities, funded research projects, and higher education prospects in reputed foreign universities.
During the session, Dr. Lakhankar highlighted real-world examples of successful international collaborations and discussed how multidisciplinary research contributes to technological development. He also guided the participants on how to prepare a strong academic profile, the importance of communication and research skills, and the documentation required for applying to international universities and collaborative programs.
The seminar concluded with an interactive Q&A session where students clarified their doubts regarding scholarships, selection criteria, application timelines, and opportunities available through global institutions. The event proved highly informative and motivating for students aspiring to pursue higher studies and international research exposure.
