ACE Club successfully organized a Hands-on Workshop on Flutter on 13th February 2025 (Thursday). The objective of this workshop was to Introduce Second-year & Third-year Students to Flutter, its importance, and its benefits for application development across all Engineering branches. The event witnessed Enthusiastic participation, with around 70 students attending the session.
The workshop was conducted by Prof. Prachi Sorte, who provided valuable insights into Flutter, its framework, and real-world applications. She explained the fundamentals of Flutter, including its architecture, Dart programming language, widgets, and state management. The session highlighted the advantages of using Flutter for cross-platform app development and its growing demand in the industry.
During the session, students were given hands-on experience in creating a simple mobile application using Flutter. Prof. Prachi Sorte demonstrated the process of setting up a Flutter environment, designing UI components, and integrating basic functionalities. The students were encouraged to experiment with different widgets and layouts to enhance their understanding of the framework. She also addressed common challenges faced during Flutter development and provided solutions to overcome them.
The workshop proved to be a great success, leaving students with a strong foundation in Flutter development and inspiring them to delve deeper into mobile app development. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of the organizing team and the expertise shared by Prof. Prachi Sorte.
