Speaker Profile
Mr. Akhil Arun Menon is currently working as an Assistant Professor at Schools of Computer Science and Information Technology (Department of BCA), JAIN (Deemed to be University) since last 5 years. He has completed his Master’s Degree (Embedded Systems) from BITS PILANI Institute and B.E. (Electronics) from Pillai College of Engineering, New Panvel. He has also published papers in journals for example on “A systematic Study of Progressive Authentic Trust Based Security Techniques for Cloud”, and many more.

Prof. Sanobar Sayed did an introduction of the speaker and started the session.

Guest Lecture:
Speaker started with the key points to be considered while making attention grabbing resume. He explained the type of templets and standard resumes available in the market, how students can create professional resume. He has also shown students some website having lots of information which is necessary while preparing first resume. He also shared his resume and experience he gained in his carrier. He highlighted the benefits and trends of making resume on social networking site which are strictly profession like LinkedIn. He has also given brief overview of useful websites. Students were motivated after listening to his experience.

Student from B.E. Electrical and T.E. Electrical, asked questions about websites for helping resume writing and the speaker gave satisfactory answers to all the queries.

This guest lecture session has great impact on soft skill development of students.

Total 71 participants have attended the session and all gave positive feedback through the form circulated after the session. They have also requested to plan more such informative sessions in future that could give them more insight.
