Department of Information Technology in Association with Sanket Mobile and Robotics Technologies organized Three day’s Online Hands-on Workshop on “Android Application”. The workshop was organized from 16th – 18th July, 2021 for faculty and Students of PHCET. Total 80 Faculty and students from various branches participated in this Workshop.

Workshop was focused and demonstrated in the following areas
- Fundamental Android UI Design
- Designing different Layouts- Linear, Relative, Grid
- Inflating the Layouts, Menus
- Learning the IPO mechanism
- Exploring Views- TextView, EditText, Button, ImageView
- Creating Activities
- Activity Life Cycle
- The Activity-Layout-View Connect
- Java Returns – Data types, Variables, Modifiers, operators
- Designing Scrolling list views as in Gmail, WhatsApp, Facebook
- Audio Playback using Media Player
This talk was well received by faculty and students and they have highly benefited. The valuable exposure about the significance of building various Android App was demonstrated and helped our participants to develop interest in Android App and creating various Advanced Android Application. Positive feedback was received from participants and have shown their keen interest for future related activities.
