Every year, World Standards Day is celebrated on October, 14th to spread awareness about the significance of standardization in the global economy among regulators, consumers, and industries.
Standards Clubs , PHCET in collaboration with Bureau of Indian Standards, Western Regional Office, Mumbai celebrated World Standards Day 2022 on 15th October, 2022 with the theme, ‘Standards for the Sustainable Development Goals: A Shared Vision for a Better World’. As a part of World Standards Day celebrations, BIS also conducted a Quality Connect Program (Door-to-Door campaign) through Volunteers to create awareness among the masses about BIS, standards club and its activities.

The programme was started off from the campus ground of Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology, Rasayani, Raigad. The programme started at 10.30 a.m. with registration and listing of Volunteers. 101 volunteers participated in the programme. The volunteers were provided with the Kits containing BIS pamphlets on National Building code (Guide for Homeowners), Hallmarking and BIS Care app, T-Shirts and caps. The badges with the name of the volunteer were also given. The volunteers were briefed about BIS, Importance of World standards day by Mr. Ashish Wakle and also on the activities to be taken up under the campaign, how to use the app for the campaign. The flagging off of the campaign was done by Dr.Jagdish W. Bakal, Principal, Principal, Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology, Rasayani, Raigad at 12.30 p.m.
