Total 43 participants from Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Rajasthan Delhi had registered for this international symposium.

The Student Chapter Committee of Indian Green Building Council (IGBC)

The objective of the ‘Virtual Open Mic’ event was to provide a platform for the participants to showcase their talents and content to an open-minded audience without the fear of judgment.

The event was divided into the following six categories

  1. Poems
  2. Short stories
  3. Shayaris
  4. Songs
  5. Raps
  6. Monologues

Keeping the theme “Climate Change” in mind the freedom was provided to participants to create a content piece in the languages of Hindi, English, and Marathi in the above-mentioned categories.

The welcome address was proposed by Dr. T. J. Mathew, Principal, Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology, Rasayani. Awareness about the issues we are facing together as a world due to climate change caused by human negligence and capitalism was the highlight of this open mic event. The session concluded with oral feedback from participants.
