Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is the National Standards body of India, Working under the ministry of Consumer Affairs, Government of India. It works for harmonious development of Standards, Certification; Testing & Consumer Awareness.
BIS has taken the initiative of creating Standards Clubs in educational institutions comprising teachers and students as members. Through a variety of activities under these Clubs, young talents get learning opportunities in the field of quality and standardization.
In these continuations BIS has conducted an Orientation Programme on Quality Consciousness on 4th August 2022, in which Scientific officer of BIS Shri Ashish Wakle explained the activities carried out by BIS and the benefit of forming Standards Club in School Colleges and Shri Pushpendra Mishra – Standard Promotion officer explained about Standards Club benefits & Guidelines on forming standards club.
The orientation program was held in the conclave-2 in which about 120 approx. students of Mechanical, Civil, Automobile and Electrical branches were present. In this Program the officially the Standard Club formation is done.
