Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology presents the First Generation of Google Developer Student Club, GDSC is an International Community of Developers backed by Google, the main motive of GDSC is to fill the gap between theory and practice and solving problems in our local community using Google technologies. The club was successfully launched on 8th September, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. on Zoom platform.

The session commenced by welcoming all the participants, then the Head of Department addressed the audience and spoke about the importance of the club and gave best wishes to the core team. A video was played about Google Developer Student Club showing a brief introduction about what is GDSC and how it has helped students across the globe to overcome their barriers, then the Core team and the faculty in charge gave their introduction to the participants and then proceeded with the presentation with the perks about Google Developer Student Club informing participants about the club and the plans for the next year.

Later a game was organized for participants to refresh their minds. Once participants were relaxed the session carried on further explaining the official Timeline given by Google about the events in the upcoming year. Later participants were introduced to various Google Technologies which will be used in the events and types of domains on which the events will be based on.

  • Google Cloud + Firebase
  • Flutter + Dart
  • Machine learning with TenserFlow

A total of 150+ participants were present in the session. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and answering the questions of participants. A positive response was received from all the participants.
