Department of Electronics and telecommunication had organized an Industrial Visit for Second and Third year students on 2nd March, 2019 to the Institute of Satellite Telecom Pvt. Ltd., Pune. There were 40 students and 3 faculty members. The main objective behind the visit was to make student aware about various activities related to satellite communication and its various applications.

Basic Satellite operating frequency and various concepts involved in satellite communication was explained by the trainer. He also briefed students about different antennas and their installation. Orientation about the company was narrated by the Director.
All the students were divided in two groups. Installation of different antennas like VSAT, Cassegrain and their working was taught to them. They guided them to understand the various work carried out in the company and customer service in all technical aspects like transmission of signal through satellite.
