The Celebration of Engineer’s Day celebration organized by IEI Student’s Chapter of Department of Electrical Engineering commenced at 2.00 p.m. S.E. Student Ms. Snehal Kadam welcomed Principal sir and all the faculty members of Electrical Engineering Department. Lamp lighting was done after the felicitation. Principal, Dr. J. W. Bakal, addressed the students and advised them to take Dr. M. Visvesvaraya as their role model, be confident in their mission and sharpen their skills to meet the global industrial demands. Head of Department, Prof. Pranita Chavan, encouraged students as career planning is an ongoing process during engineering and students need to be strong technically. Prof. R. D. More urged the students to aim to be great engineers with technical skills as well as personal qualities

Engineers operate at the interface between science and society. To identify the great works done by our hard working engineers each year 15th September is celebrated as Engineers’ Day marking the birth day of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, recognizing his contributions in the field of hydro energy in India.

Various technical and non-technical events were organized for students. Some fun events which were arranged for both staff as well as student then by some small spot event games which were played by students continued with arranged by Department of Electrical Engineering followed by. The celebration ended at 4:00 p.m.

More than 65 students showed their participation in the event. Prizes to the students, who won prizes in various competitions held, were also given away on the occasion. The whole event was co-ordinate by student council of IEI student chapter team.
