The Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) is a three-year (six semesters) full-time undergraduate program in the field of computer applications, affiliated to the University of Mumbai with the intake of 60 students. It is designed to meet the increasing demand for IT professionals with a strong foundation in software development, programming, and emerging technologies. The program is open to students who have completed their 10+2 (HSC) or equivalent examination from any stream, with Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at the qualifying level.

The BCA curriculum covers a broad spectrum of subjects including programming languages, database management, data structures, computer networks, web technologies, and software engineering with specific domain specialization in Software & Systems Domains, Networking & Communication and Security & Privacy

To ensure that students are industry-ready, the program also includes various co-curricular, extracurricular activities, Field Projects (FP)/ Community Engagement Project, social activities in association with Institute/Social organizations/NGOs/Clubs etc.. These initiatives help in developing not only technical expertise but also essential soft skills, such as communication, teamwork, and leadership.

The BCA program aims to produce graduates who are technically competent, ethically grounded, and prepared to contribute effectively in a global IT environment. It aligns with the institute’s core values, focusing on academic excellence, innovation, and the holistic development of students, preparing them for higher studies, entrepreneurship, and careers in the fast-evolving digital world.
